PS3 Trophies

Do these things bottleneck? I tried for days to get the "Jack of all Trades" trophy to pop on Warhammer 40K Space marine and it wasn't having any of it! So I posted on the forum and asked about and decided I'd been doing it wrong. Took my revised instructions from the online community away and tried again. Nothing!

Then this afternoon without warning it appeared, along with 2 other trophies at the same time. Strange days.

So why the trophy blog? New Year I was on 636 trophies. My New Year resolution was to get my trophies up to 1000 by the end of 2012. I don't usually worry about them but after going for a couple of platinums last year I decided this would be the year of the average gamer!

Then my wife pipes up with a bet. £100 for 1000 trophies by the end of the year. By my reckoning thats 1 a day. Not difficult by anyones standards. As of today (15th March) I'm on 755. Now the big question is do I cheat? By cheating I mean doing things like buying Where the Wild Things Are and spending 4 - 8 hours getting the 50 odd trophies on offer.

I'm on the fence. I don't need to cheat. Maybe I'll buy a copy and keep it up my sleeve just in case. My gaming drops off drastacally in the summer so I might just need an ace in the hole.

Watch this space. I'll update my progress as I go.

Well we've had family round all weekend. Had an extra 12 people at one point which added to our 5 made for a big pan of spaghetti bolognaise! Lucky i'm a master chef extrordinaire! And cooking has the advantage of meaning you don't help clear up in this house. When there's that many people cooking is a damn sight easier than cleaning up afterwards!

Anyway in between bouts of being sociable i've been playing mostly Space Marine, alone as the onlines borked atm and Mortal Kombat with Tom and some randoms. I've gone back to Raiden as I just enjoy the speed I can get cheesy with him. Most people online these days don't expect to see an old school cheesy Raiden so first round win is usually pretty easy then a bit of mix up can take round 2 ftw. Not many people want a second match after that though :/

F1 this afternoon, have a doze on the sofa after dinner, get the house straight after the guests have left and then get the kids ready for school again tomorrow. Might get 5 minutes to myself later for some gaming if i'm lucky. I feel the need, the Need For Speed. Hot pursuit to be exact. Need to get my cop level up to 20. Hit level 15 on Friday so still a way to go.
