Fallout

Ahh fallout, how many hours I've spent on you since Fallout1, and now with the release of New Vegas (and getting it for christmas) I looked back at my Fallout3 and noticed so many missing achievements. So once more I placed the disc into the tray and went to work loading up my primary save I realized I was currently in search of the GECK and had not advanced in a long while. Having completed the game on the PC Version then getting the XBox360 version I had lost interest but not now, now I have returned with fury and intention of completing every achievement.

The Capital Wasteland spread out before me I began my journey and started slaughtering the denizens of the wastes with an entire lack of accuracy, my how my targeting skills in this game had decayed so I was forced to return to using VATS for awhile until I got used to it once more and.... Frozen XBox... so I restarted, lost a bit of work but whatever, three more hours in.... frozen xbox... are you kidding me? randomly I found the game freezing without an end and it drove me crazy. Only often saves and constant reboots kept the game on course. Eventually I completed it and the DLCs returning to the Pitt of bugged DLCs to attempt to gather the remaining few steel bars for the achievement and I began base jumping through the roofs of buildings as I fell through floors that didn't exist anymore... sigh...

I remember hearing about how buggy FO3 was and how bad the DLCs were but I had never experienced any until just now and man was that annoying.

The game was complete, I was missing the Alien Archives and Neutral/Evil achievements... so I loaded old saves hitting levels to get the Neutral/Evil achievements then took my 22 and redid the Mothership Zeta DLC gathering all of the Archives, completed it then leveled to 30 getting my last two achievements. Yay. 100% Completion on Fallout 3.

So I plugin Fallout: New Vegas, I'm ready to go, I had only played a couple hours of it before and got a few achievements and now I was ready to kick ass. Made a new character, started exploring, and.... frozen xbox... so thats when I started playing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood lol.

Anyone else annoyed to hell at the rampant freezes throughout Fallout:NV ? I can deal with the annoying bugs, but freezing when entering VATS, freezing when its feels like freezing... bah... Installation to the HDD did nothing to improve this, all it did was reduce the ridiculous load times to something more manageable.

Space, Spore, and The Single Ship

So I reach space, again, in spore.

And everytime I reach space in spore I am reminded how disappointed I am at the simple details that could of been fixed... such as...

Empire Building, I own 40 systems, my sporebucks have sky rocketed and my idiotic empire can only afford a single ship to send out into the cosmos and they can't even allow me to build up ships and station them in systems... nor can I buy extra jets on the planets for defense as it is "left up to the colony" to buy those, but when I'm flying into the galactic core they start screaming "HELP HELP HELP 3 Pirate ships that look like the enterprize are attacking!" or one of my idiot allies start screaming "Help 6 creatures are carrying the plague and our entire eco system is gonna collapse!"... really?

Is it too much to ask for a little build up of forces here, if I got enough sporebucks to purchase entire systems from allies you'd think I could buy a dozen ships to station in my home system or craft fleets and place them where I want them to protect against the Grox or against hostile aliens.

Nope, the freshest race to the galaxy and I gotta save the day of every idiot alien from 1AU to 9000 PC away...

Don't get me wrong, the space stage is fun but theres a few holes that need fixing.

Oh well.. off to colonize, terraform, and stop a bio disaster.
