I recently purchased a Wii. I had a Game Cube but didn't find time to play it for awhile. I decided I wanted something to play and since I have a widescreen TV now I bought the Wii. While I did grab RE4 Wii because it's so cheap now, I'm not sure when I'll be able to commit the time to play it. I have NFS Underground, SMB Wii and both of the RE rail shooters. It's perfect as if I have an hour to waste I just go racing or kill zombies. I do intend to get one of those fishing games, I've a hunch they might actually compete with catch and release. The Wii is perfect for me like that, if I decide to get serious I'll grab the Metroid Trilogy games. I just found the Wii had the best arcade type games and while I may not be a serious gamer compared to most on this board, I am seriously having a blast with it. Just thought I'd put in my 2 cents on the subject.
If your into racing games go to Amazon and get that discontinued Logitech racing wheel. It's a measly 20 bucks now and it's great. I have a second one on the way because at that price why not.
Thought I'd give everyone here a headsup. If you go to Amazon you will find the Logitech Wii steering wheel for only 20 bucks. It's been discontinued so apparently the inventory is being dumped. Anyway I got one with NFS Underground and it's easily worth the 120 bucks that it originally was selling for. For only 20 bucks it's an outright steal. It's a shame it's discontinued. The directions say it's designed for Need For Speed games, but I'm hoping it will work with others.
I'm waiting for mine. Amazon had a deal on the 25th Mario anniversary model and I snatched it up. Basically they give a 50 dollar gift card with purchase. Anyway I haven't played my game cube since I got my widescreen TV, and I couldn't decide on which system to get. Came down to XBox 4 gig. Then I saw the deal on the Wii, and since it comes with Super Mario Bros. Wii and the gift card it's like a hundred bucks off in my book. It should be here Wednesday, but probably won't open it up until the weekend.
