Macbooks are actually really good, can be costly, but they are much more stable and still fast and you can do just about everything windows can except game. Dr_Brocoli

Quite true, however now they can do a bit more since Apple FINALLY decided to upgrade from Napa to Santa Rosa for MacBooks, with the X3100.

I'm not entirely sure, but I'd venture a guess as to saying that Core 2 Duo's run cooler than their Athlon X2 counterparts.

If I remember correctly, it will.

Although, I think it's recommended that you have at least a 325-350W PSU, so just make sure that you have a good one and that you don't have too many peripherals drawing extra power.

Recently, I've been getting the following error while trying to run some programs:

"The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occured because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\SHELL32.dll occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL."

So far, I've only encountered it while using two programs; the system Calculator, and while trying to install an update for one of my prgrams (Paint.NET). I don't think it's a general installation issue, since I've been able to install other programs without incident.

I can't really think of anything that could be causing the error. The only possibility in my mind is that I installed FlyakiteOSX. Basically, it's a theme for XP that makes it look like OSX; it adds a Dock to the bottom of the screen, changes icons, sounds, etc. It also changes the standard boot up screen from the Windows XP one to an OSX one.

Though, I don't think it's that. But, then again, I'm an idiot when it comes to software. Anyone have any ideas as to what this could be? My specs are as follows:

Pentium D 820 @ 2.8 Ghz

1GB RAM

Radeon 9250

250GB HDD @ 5,400 RPM

It may not be neccessary, but I don't think it could hurt any, unless it's bringing dust into the system fans.

I'd say go with Home Premium. The only real thing that Ultimate adds is DreamScape, and I'm sure there are other 3rd party apps that do the exact same thing.

Nope, at the moment mine is using 106MB of memory. You're perfectly fine.
