nice
that pic of the chief with all the guns is one of my favorites --- its from the graphic novel i wish i could find it on the internet i would put it as my sig or something
I think what makes it revolutionary is the culmination of all those things
- dual wielding
- head shots
- energy sword (sword lock in first person)
- sniper (4x 12*x zoom) - *could be 8 or 10 i forget
- boarding vehicles
- 3rd person vehicle controls in a 1st person game
- co-op split-screen
- voice chat
- melee with weapons without having to switch to your hand or a crowbar or something
- sticky grenades
- use of regular grenades without having to switch weapons
- radar
- crouch walking making you invisible to radar
- over-shield and invisibility
- unmatched party system
- tanks, warthogs and ghosts
- weapon balance
- regenerating health shield system so that you don't have to go looking for health packs
The culmination of all of these things is what makes halo so great, not any one revolutionary thing, kinda like devastator on the transformers, individually they were OK robots that transformed into work vehicles but together they were a force to be reckoned with
thanks for listining
What I wana know from all the people who complain ---- What can they do that will NOT make it look like H2 without changing everything? Despite maybe your personal opinion that might say something different, Halo 2 had a very well done and competitive multiplayer. If it wasn't for the hacking/moding/jackasses, Halo 2 online would've been nearly perfect. There's always room for imporvement, but the basics and many of the advanced stuff were already implimented well in Halo 2. I just don't see how they can make it so it doesn't remind everyone of Halo 2. Try playing it first, when the game ships, and see how the stuff below the scenes (movement, speed, pacing, weapons, just the feel of the game) are and then you'll see how it's different.
The bubble shield and all those other things might not seem like big imporvements, but trust me, it'll change the way you play the game. The man cannons, new weapons, vehicles, maps, it'll all change the way you play the game. Yea it'll still feel like Halo 2 in some ways... But then again, is that a bad thing? Sure there are some haters of it, but many people hate it because alot of people love it! Despite your own personal grudges against the game, Halo 2 multiplayer, and hopefully Halo 3 multiplayer, will be some of the best you'll play for a long time. (I'm not including Halo's MP because on the Xbox it was only offline.)
If you don't like it or whatever, then go play UT3, which looks amazing also. Or some GRAW 2, RSV, GeOW, C&C3TW, or whatever may suit your fancy. Or buy a diff console..
Basically,,,,, Try it before you dislike it....
konradak
this guy speaks the truth, dont hate the game hate the players
Why
Why would i put down an extra $500$ on a black xbox with a bigger hard drive -- they didnt even put in the cooler chips what the duce
