Yes, Obama won! While I support Obama, I don't support all Obama supporters. We have some very idiotic Obama fans out there. They know nothing of his plans, nothing of what he will do, all they know is the color of his skin. I'm gonna say this once: Thereis NO such thing as positive racism. NO SUCH THING! I once came across one person who admitted, he knew nothing of Obama's plans for America. He considered himself a positive racist. Now this person, just a racist in general, he may not admit to it, but he is and the fact that he considers himself a positive racist just blows my mind. But anyways onto the games!
Today, James Bond: Quantum of Solace came out for Wii and I guess every other consoles. I'm sad that it didn't score very well on IGN. The Wii version got a 4.5, and I see that the IGN reviewer, Matt Bozon, has some very good points. Horrible graphics, bad IR, they even compared the crosshair to Red Steel. RED FREAKIN' STEEL. I was dissapointed mainly because I was looking forward to it. Everyone was hyping the modified CO4 Engine for Wii expecting great graphics (at least Wii standards) with QoS. Not the case. At all. Now Call of Duty: World at War, I can see that game as a modified COD 4 engine. QoS looks nothing like it. It seems I'm destined for dissapointment when it comes to Wii and FPS. How depressing.
Another thing I read today, it could've been on YouTube, and if so completely disregard this entire paragraph, is that Red Steel 2 will be running on a modified Unreal engine! Unreal 2.5? Now Gears of War 2 runs Unreal Engine 3, and if the Wii can get even near that level, man will I act like such a Nintendo fanboy. Even if it's .5 away from GoW 2, I will literally jump up and down and make squeaking noises and faint. Scratch the squeaking noises but everything else still stands.
I made a game wish list the other day, in order to chronicle all the fantastic (but expensive) games coming out during the fall, and I realized that after looking at reviews for the games that are coming out now (QoS) I'm crossing a LOT of games out. It makes me sad because I was looking forward to wasting some money on a couple hours of awesome. Anyways, most of my list still stands, but without a doubt, many of them will be off when the reviews come around. I've already crossed Disaster: Day of Crisis off due to the fact that it, well how to put this lightly, sucks. I'm sorry, it doesn't look very fun, the graphics look pretty good, but the gameplay overall looks mediocre. I read an impression by Nintendo World Report, and they said it seemed like the whole game was a tutorial. I decided to do some of my own research. Brought up some gameplay videos, courtesy of our Japanese friends, and watched them. The game just doesn't look fun. Ok, maybe sucks is kinda harsh, but I sincerely don't think it looks very good. Maybe the problem is that the game, which should've been released at launch has been delayed until now 2008, and we don't even know when the game will be released in North America. 2010? 2012? There's no clue, Nintendo doesn't even have the game listed on their website. It's gone from development hell to let's piss of those damn Americans (and those others in North America. Canadians?)That's what I have to say about that game. Anyways, returning to my wish list, my main game on there right now would have to be the Conduit. That game looks bomb, and you know it too!
GEARS OF WAR 2!! Man, I'm just shifting randomly in this blog post. Anyways, that game looks amazing. When it comes out, I'm definitely getting it (and by this I mean, my friends getting it and I'm leeching off him) and I will play it! Well, obviously that's a given, just wanted to make sure you people out in wherever land knew that. I'm looking forward to playing some Co-op campaign and Horde. Whew, that game looks really freaking awesome. Come on, gun+chainsaw=XTREME WITH A CAPITAL X! Moving on.
This officialy ends my first blog post, pretty long, longer than expected, that's what she said (my Michael Scott moment of the day. Those who don't know who Michael Scott is, shame on you!) and I think I'm going to create a banner thingy cause I have time (not really, I should be doing homework right now) and I feel it'll be cool.
