2010 was a great year in video gaming, and while I think I might have missed some great game, I still think that I have played some great ones. So here is my list of the best games of last year.

PS3: Bayonetta

Bayonetta has the formula for a great action game. Great graphics, great soundtrack, amazing list of combos, interesting weapons and different difficulty settings. What the game lacks in story telling it makes up for great action. Definitely one of the best action games i've ever played.

DS: (tie) Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth/Pokemon SoulSilver

These are both two of my favourite franchises ever, the Ace Attorney and the Pokemon franchise, and these instlments definitely show what they are capable of. The first one provides an amazing storyline with incredible gameplay and super music, while the second provides infinite replay value and just plain fun gameplay that never gets. While I don't think Investigations is the best game in the AA franchise, it still is a fantastic game, but SoulSilver is definitely the best Pokemon ever to date.

PSP: Persona 3 Portable

Persona 3 on the PS2 is one of the best RPGs ever made, and bringing it to the portable system with a different character to play as, changing some storyline events makes this version appealing to people that have already played other versions of the game appealing. Tackle amazing music and gameplay changes of its succesor Persona 4 and you get the best RPG of the year, and the best version of one of the best games ever.

Wii: Super Mario Galaxy 2

Not being a great fan of the original, I was really surprised with how incredible this game was. The level design is far superior, the power ups are more fun to use, there is Yoshi and a remake of a Super Mario 64 level and the music is just incredible. This is one of the best sequels ever created and one of the most fun games I'ver ever played. While the Wii had some incredible exclusives this year (Metroid Other M, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Donkey Kong Country Returns...), this is the best of them.
