By God, it has been 13 years since this game exists, and 7 since I have my N64, and just now I have played Ocarina of Time to a big degree. I have had rented it when I was a kid, but always got lost, since I barely knew a word of english. But besides that, what really made me not play this game were the ReDead. Oh my god, those walking zombie scared the crap out of me when I was a kid, and I could never set me free from them when they got me. So I skiped on playing it. But now I have! And thoughts?
Well, really quickly, I think it is an awesome game, and was worthy of the title of best game ever back then, but saying that it still is to this day is having you rose colored nostalgia glasses on. Many of its design choices, such as in the Water Temple, which I didn't find that bad but still annoying, are really outdated nowadays. The Fire Temple also had some annoyanced in the desing departament. The story is also very simple, with some highlights, but nothing special.
I will say this now, and I will post a blog about this latter, but I think Majora's Mask is better than Ocarina of Time.
I can bet that the majority of the Zelda fans will disagree with me, but that is the wonders of humanity and being able to have an opinion!
