probably oblivion cuz it's an open ended rpg so there's limitless possibilities, i wouldn't take the other mentioned game cuz once u finish the game it's not as fun to play it over again.

Does the system recognize the disk? Like is it displaying the name of the game or disc? If it does, try selecting the disc on screen and hit x to load it, if it doesn't load, then you better check your warranty. Sorry I know I'm not of much help.
You should get a PS3 because you can play free online and the blue ray capacity is amazing, imagine in the future some game developers put a lot of contents into a game that could not be fit in a HD DVD, it would fit into blue ray and only PS3 owners can get the game. I'm not a PS3 fanboy but blu ray is just amazing, don't listen to the idiots who say bluray is not important, they're narrow minded, hell metal gear solid 4 nearly exceeded bluray capacity so you can see that the big games are coming soon in the future and HD DVD on xbox 360 cannot handle big contents and I don't think you'll like getting up constantly to change disc while playing. Sure xbox 360 got lots more amazing exclusives now but that's just "now". Games are getting bigger and bigger so soon xbox 360 will have lots of disadvantage compared to ps3.
