Telling her she looks as beautiful now as she did then. Awwww, how cute is that? Actually, today I brought my laptop to my bf's place to watch the pictures from this wedding I'll tell you all about today with his mum and siblings. And then we switched to other weddings, family meetings, this and that and finally some old pictures. And bf was like "awwww, look how beautiful you were in this one, or in this other one...almost as beautiful as you are now". I know, super sappy but hey, we've been dating for 15 years now and it brought tears to my eyes. Yes, we got together really, really young and I was canoeing for the Basque Country Team and my body was far nicer than it currently is (where did that gorgeous flat belly go? *wonders*) Well, I'm far from being old and crochety yet, but still it totally moved me inside :)

On the personal note, on Saturday I went to this wedding I mentioned before. Well, it was a total blast :D After having had several weddings this year, I wasn't hoping to attend more, but it was a cousin of my bf's who was getting married and we couldn't miss it. Plus he and her wife are great people. So basically, we went, drank and had fun. It's not that I can't have fun without alcohol, but I was trying to avoid at all costs people getting annoying asking me when am I going to get married and bla, bla. So getting drunk is a perfect solution. And c'mon, it was a wedding, getting wasted is compulsory here. Everyone under 40 was, and some over that also

So, getting all dressed up (sucks. I feel disguised and uncomfortable, hoping all day through to rip those stupid clothes off) then mass (gah), meeting and kissing all the relatives (cool), playing with kids (fun), getting pictures taken (meh) and head towards the restaurant to have a welcome cocktail while the newlyweds are getting their wedding pictures taken (yay, first drinks! And mariachis livening up. Gaah, I always cry to mariachis songs. I so thought of Stefi *waves at Stefi*). Not to mention, snapping pictures at everyone, yes, you know me and my cameras (plural) And well, then the wedding reception (yummy) :)

At the beginning of the wedding reception, some cell beeped a text message. My bf's sister got a text but it was obviously wrong number. The text was something like "Hey, I'm in Alza and I already have the new bike, wanna come check it out?". But it happened that a) Alza is really close to where we live and to where we were having the wedding, b) My bf's sister LOVES bikes, c) she isn't coupled up and d) we were pretty dizzy already. So instead of replying "wrong number", she replayed something like "I dunno who you are but I would love to see the bike". So she received another text: "I'm Ramon, and I have a new (insert brand here I can't recall), who are you?" Bf's sister was astonished. Such bike is like this huge and fast one she totally loves. So I encouraged her to call him. Because a) Ramon is a guy, b) He has a gorgeous bike, c) He lives close to us and d) There's a Spanish saying that says that one wedding always generates another between the guests. And since e) She was drunk, she called him. LMAO

Apparently, this Ramon guy received a text from a friend informing him of his new cell number and he got it wrong. And Ramon a) Is not coupled up, b) Had no plans that Saturday night, c) Was willing to meet a girl with an interest for fast bikes. Well, I was totally rubbing my hands and I convinced my bf's sister to ask him to meet us later in a disco. She was a bit reluctant at the beginning, but oooh the Rioja wine and the champagne cocktails were great allies. I totally convinced her so she texted him and to our surprise, he said he will. Oh my, it was such a lot of hun. So after the wedding reception, the dance and the fun, we all went to this disco that the newlyweds had reserved. It was a great place, the drinks were on the newlyweds and our drunk state raised up a couple of levels. Since it was a hot day and the high heels were killing us, we took a seat at an outside terrace. And Ramon showed up, wearing this tight leather biker jacket, tight pants and boots (gaaaaaaaaaaaaah  ) So hot. I couldn't believe it  I had to almost chop my finger off not to get pictures taken

My bf' sister had this goofy smile that totally cracked me up. She is thin, blonde and beautiful, so Ramon took his helmet off and it fell to the floor LMAO  Bf and I took another sip not to burst up laughing. They looked like a couple of teenagers in their first date. To be honest, he was hotter with the helmet on. He isn't a beau but he joined us and he sounded like a cool guy. We had more drinks (he had soft drinks because he had to drive) and now that I think about it I can imagine what a funny bunch we made, and he still stayed. Yep, he totally liked my bf's sister :D

So somewhere around 02'00 am we called it a night. It had been a long day for us, so we kissed him bye-bye and totally gave my bf's sister the third grade on the ride back home. She said he was just "ok". We arrived home, I borrowed some of my bf's clothes  and land on the coach, watching tv, eating popcorn and basically killing time not to go to bed drunk as a fish. We were chatting about the wedding (you know, the female's dresses, the new couples of our relatives and all that gossip) and suddenly Ramon texted again saying that we were fun, friendly and that he had a great time. To my surprise, my bf's sister asked him to pick her up and go have a last drink together, but he had to wake up early on Sunday (?????) and he said he was sorry but as much as he'd like to, he couldn't :(

And on Sunday, he called he and asked her to go out for a ride. Squeeeeeeeeee! :D They spent the afternoon together and they have been keeping each other ever since. He told her this afternoon that he is falling for her  and she is like  but well, seems eager to get to know him better. So we (alright...I) have planned a drinking cards appointment for this weekend LMAO. Yes, I'm EVIL like that  Can't wait!!!!!

And this was the funny anecdote of the wedding. By the way, here are a couple of pics of the newlyweds:

It is a Basque tradition to dance an "aurresku" (typical Basque dance) to the newlyweds.
