Blind dates, tactics, sunshine and a Polaroid too

July 19th 2007

I've never gone in a blind date, and I would never will. Sounds like the most embarrassing thing ever to me. I'm terrible at many things, but flirting is no doubt one of those. I wouldn't know what to say, I feel thoroughly uncomfortable when I am forced to maintain a conversation with someone I do not know. Words just don't come to my mouth. I totally prefer the silence, but that sorts of defeats the purpose of a date, right?

It's kinda funny actually because when I'm alone I talk aloud with myself, with my cat, with the computer or whatever. I just talk. However, when I'm with people I always prefer listening. Everybody tells me that I am a great listener, and most of the people around reveal me their secrets. Not big things, but you know. They know I'll conceal them. I'm just too lazy to establish a conversation and reveal

And yes, I got a bf. And yeah, it surprises me too. It was my friend Mari who flirted with him for me in the disco. LMAO. I know it sounds weird and absolutely patheticbut it's true. They were chit-chatting and I was there standing like a traffic light. I just couldn't come up with anything intelligent to say. Now that I think about it it's funny, but they just rolled their eyes. And then, once we first danced together, I started doing things by myself, just in case anyone was wondering

How about you guys? Ever gone in a blind date? Ever will? :)

Calvin and Hobbes are propriety of Bill Watterson and Universal Press Syndicate.

Calvin is amazing. I had never thought about doing such a thing. It's a very intelligent tactic indeed. I may actually use it, one never knows when it can come in handy :D

On the personal note, I loved "Devil Wears Prada". I'm still not friends with Meryl since the Robert Redford affair  , but I reckon that she does a great job in the movie. And so does Anne Hathaway. By the way, can she be any more beautiful? God, check this out:

I kept on giggling and thinking about Toni and Jenn. All those shoes, bags, clothes, complements... It was just recently that Toni and I were chatting about Manolo Blahnik shoes, and there they were. I thought about Blu as well. All those NY scenes brought her to my mind too :) That was a bonus to the movie.

So despite not being a fashion lover, I loved the movie. The subplot was moving, and I cried like a baby at the very end. I know, I know, I'm a helpless weepy girl. Bf was rolling his eyes and holding me a Kleenex  I always love those movies that make me cry.

And today we are gonna watch "Little Miss. Sunshine". I've heard good things and read good critics about it. Is it any good? I'll tell ya'll tomorrow. So yesterday I ate the yummy crab, and decided to take a picture of its claws so you can imagine its size:

That's pretty much it from now. See you all guys tomorrow before my party. Didn't I tell you? Jenn, my goddaughter, invited meto this party at her place (well, at herabsent parents' place) I'm thrilled to be between the exclusive eliteof canadian flashy bimbos to attend the event. I'm sure it will be a blast, so I'll goiron my bimbo outfit and my nightie too. One never knows ifI would spend the night in the escargot tent  Until then, be good and take care :)

P.S. Jenn, I want to know the *ahem* colour in your comment. Don't make me use my Polaroid again. Thanks
