Breakfast and bath

July 10th 2007. Happy Birthday, Ash!! :D

It is true that the smallest things are those which keep the flame burning. Sharing a coffee, going for a walk, watching a movie together, dressing up for the other, making a surprise little present in an irrelevant date, saying "I love you" each day, and "you look beautiful" often, leaving a romantic note for the other to find :) ...and apparently, bringing breakfast to bed.

However, I never quite understood this one. Maybe it is just me, but I don't like to eat in bed. I mean, I can grab a bite of something, but not properly eat. And least of all, having breakfast. I'm pretty sure that I would spill any liquid stuff over the sheets, get some layers of jam in the pillow, toast crumbs all around...what a mess :?The only thought of it makes me nervous. Do you like to eat in bed?

Bath time. I don't remember bath time as a hard time. I hated it when the water went inside my ears, because when I was a kid my ears ached often. The doctor said that it was too much beach or too much pool and that I had to use some pink wax plugs, which I hated. I felt as I had a diving helmet on or something. I felt this vacuum sensation which was just annoying not to mention that I couldn't listen to my cousins when we were playing in the water and I hated it so I hardly used them :|

I remember that I always covered my ears with my hands when my mum was rinsing my hair. Apart from that, bath was fun. It was nice having these massages in the back with the sponge and bringing all the toys and dolls inside the bathtube. It was funny how my hair was all nice after the bath, whereas my doll's hair looked like scourer after my ruffles :DActually, it was hard to convince me to come outside, it was so warm and nice in the water

Well, I dunno if my doctor was right, but then I practiced canoeing for 15 years and my ears didn't ache one single day. And believe me, when you train kids you spend more time in the water than inside the canoe  Did you enjoyed bath time?

On the personal note, back to home improvement this afternoon. The weather is just so so today so I feel a bit less lazy than yesterday. Tonight there is no open air movies either, so we'll probably enjoy a quiet dinner and then we'll watch some tv or play some cards. I guess that two brothers of my bf are joining us for diner so it would probably be cards then :)

On the pissy note (yeah, new category here, please insert huge *sigh*) well, I only needed to turn the tv on and when I was skipping yesterday's bullfights summary, I came across another "great" festivity of ours. The first weekend in July, the "Rapa das Bestas" takes place In Galicia. Herds of wild horses that during the year have been grazing in freedom in the mountain, are confined into a paddock which becomes the focal point of the struggle to tame the wild horses and get to cut their mane. How stupid is that? How stressful is it for the horses? *sigh* I promise you that my country's traditions are depressing me. Gah

Awww, the poor guy (yeah right)

The wild horses overstress and feel threatened when confined.

How much fun is this for the horse?
