Human nature

Love is...taking your eye off the ball. Well, it's a pretty real statement. When one is in love, one's mind takes these funny trips of its own. That, and a loony-ish smile almost everpresent. Not to mention a crazy beating of the heart each time the cell rings :D

Well, time moderates its intensity. But it never disappears. I know that my bf is scuba-diving at present. Still I'm wondering if he is fine, I keep checking the weather from my window because he told me that the sea was a bit rough and I'm counting the minutes for him to call me and tell me all the great catches he's made. Not that I eat a single one, but still

You know? He is working the early shift this week, so he gotta wake up at 05'00am. And since I'm a bit sad, he took me yesterday to the open air movies. They are held during summer and they are free. Yesterday was the first show. And I LOVE those, I love listening to the film rolling, the atmosphere is totally different to that inside a theatre.

So we watched "Munich" which was pretty long, so we arrived home by 01'30am. Which means that he hardly caught any sleep. And he did that for me. How come I'm not going to take my eye off the ball? :)

What about you? Who makes you take you eyes off the ball?

Calvin and Hobbes are propriety of Bill Watterson and Universal Press Syndicate.

Nature is the most powerful force ever. There is nothing we can do against it. We are exactly as Calvin depicts: just tiny mountains of sand under the threat of a bucket of water. It has been proven time and again, and we still tend to forgive it :|

I lost a cousin at the age of 9 when he was camping. The camping was set up at the bed of a river which was diverted some years ago and forced to take and alternative route. So, it rained heavily and the river took its natural route, devastating the entire area. It took almost one week to find my cousin's body between the mud. He was found some kilometres away from the camping. This was 10 years ago, and only a couple of months ago my uncle and aunt received this big amount of money. Yeah, so what? They will never embrace their son again :(

And it was only natural, right? It was obvious than sooner or later the river would take its course. Who was so stupid as to give the permission to build a camping in there? This is just an example of how stupid we can be sometimes. I mean, c'mon, even Calvin notices it, and he is just a kid

On the personal note, I'm a bit mad today about the "Sanfermines", which are the biggest festivities that are held in Pamplona. Yes, the ones with the bullruns. I guess I gotta thank Hemingway for spreading the brutality and slaughtery of the "Sanfermines" *swings fist* Tomorrow morning is the first bullrun. I'll link it, for you to check. It may sound fun, but it's not. Not for the bulls, anyway :evil:And you all know how do I love animals. Gah, you'll see it for yourselves.
