Hmmm, it's true. No matter how bad things may be, a simple caress and a smile from the one you love can help feel a lot better. Problems still remain there, but for a brief moment they look a bit smaller. Having the security of that bit of heaven is much appreciated and helps loads. That should be taken for granted, right? The one who loves you is meant to support you and help you out through all it. Only problem being when the things that go wrong belong to 7th heaven. Ah, the irony :|
We all need to escape once in a while. We all have disturbing issues around. So the most important thing is to have a means of escape. It's good to rely on a friend, a relative, a lover, a sibling... but people are moody, and variable like the wind. Make sure you all have something (apart from someone) to cling to. I hope you'll never have to make use of it and that there would always be someone around. But still
Calvin and Hobbes are propriety of Bill Watterson and Universal Press Syndicate.
Oh, I just loved this strip. I feel totally identified with Hobbes here. I've never been big on watching tv (yeah, sacrilege words on tv.com, huh?) or on listening to the radio for that matter. As most of you already know, I have never watched all those movies everyone has, or I never have a clue about which most of the bands on fashion are :?
I check the tv guide, and I only watch what interests me or what I think could interests me. I never put the tv on and start flipping channels just because of it, so when I'm at someone's house and the tv is on and people keep watching whatever, I really got pissed. I need something in my hands, some pastime, a newspaper, a magazine, a pen and paper, anything.
¿Music? Pretty much the same. I never ever turn the radio on. I put a cd or a tape (I love my old little bit of everything tapes) so I never know nothing about the music hitting at present. I go in a bar and I'm amazed at everyone bouncing and singing the songs that I listen to for the best time. And it's a while ago since I last asked "Who sings this?" because I was always funnily looked at :D
For example, the other day, when I was watching "Devil wears Prada" I listened this bit of a song that I liked, so I made a little research for it. I bet that most of you would know what song it was only by listening to that bit of it, but I didn't. Ahahahaha, you want to know what song it was, right? It was "Crazy" by Alanis Morissette. I love the song. First time I listened to was the other day, believe it or not. And the video, omg how cool is it? Yep, I'm always super late on big hits

On the personal note, yesterday we weren't rained on while the open air movie screening, so it was all good. "Monster House" was on and it was alright. It is an animation movie and there were loads of kids around, but luckily enough they behaved pretty well. I like animation movies, above all Disney ones, and this one was pretty hooking from the very beginning, so I enjoyed it much. And there was this little (4 or 5 year old I guess) boy, who was totally scared. He was clinging to his mum's arm, and he was the cutest thing ever. The poor boy kept repeating that he was scared, but he couldn't keep his eyes away from the screen. He made me smile throughout the whole movie. Maybe I'm silly, but those little things, like the total sweetness that boy and his mum were, made me as happy as enjoying an open air movie :)
And today I received this picture of a friend of mine who is pregnant, and she sent me by mail the baby's scans, and then a pic of her womb to my cell, and she made my day too. I'm so excited about these threee babies that are going to be born this year: Princess Jermajisty (aka Toni's girl), and two boys from two other friends of mine. I love having "nephews and nieces". They are just adorable.
By the way, Jenn's (virtual for me) party was a total blast. I didn't know the music but hey, at least we put the snails' extract to good use, didn't we Jenn? Man are we improving our language skills. LMFAO
