To GDJenn with love

Ok, this blog is really random, I completely agree :) I'm almost certain that only Jenn will understand it, so don't even bother to do it. As her grandmother, she chose me to speak on her behalf in the whole "let's move to a waterclub condo" thing and so I did.

Of course I'm exaggerating, try and guess what's right and what's wrong

Dear Mr. And Mrs. Beaudry,

I know you'll be surprised to read this, let me introduce myself. I am BM (short from Borrowed-Mother) and I am your daughter Jennifer godmother. It's a great honor she chose me. I wouldn't have desired any other young girl rather than our Jennifer Patricia as my godaughter. From the short time I've known her I have the highest opinion of Jennifer. We have talked long while we played cards all night about this and that. I can't but consider her highly and I'll try and help her make the right decisions.  I know you are so proud of her as I am. She is everything a young lady should be: affectionate, caring, respectful, sensible...shall I continue?

She's got a generous soul as well. She sets her video camera in her balcony to watch her neighbour's pools and make sure they swim safe. She insisted on cleaning the whole mess when someone dropped baking flour on the fan on April Fool's day to save the maid the task. And she ate McDonald's for a whole weekend to avoid messing up in the kitchen cooking bacon in the stove despite she loves cooking to death. She insisted on waiting in the outside some weeks ago during that family trip only to allow her brother some time alone and she loved fetching him a glass a water in the middle of the night each time he felt thirsty. She attends all her friends' birthday parties, she's got so many and they all love to have her around. She feels so comfortable between girls...by the way, that reminds me that she enjoys having guests for dinner. She told me she was considering applying for the same University as her father's co-worker daughter. They really have loads of things in common so I'm certain they'll make excellent roommates.

Her decisions in life talk for her: she gave up blade fights once she had her first cut and realized how painful they are. She gave up stealing tabs from her dad when she realized how scary chipmunks could be.  She felt the responsibility to try (and taste) home fire extinguishers just to be sure they'll work fine in case they are needed (let's cross fingers they won't). Ok, she may have made some mistakes, but who hasn't? That's exactly why she decided to give a 180º turn to her life. She looks at yoga lessons under a new pleasant point of view since they help her to chill out, to gain flexibility and make some new acquaintances. She decided to live healthy and try and quit smoking. She developed a need for the spiritual; visiting father Jon at least once a week has a very positive effect on her. She discharges stress and comes back home renewed. She is about joining this Christian group to help people in the  neighbourhood, so she'll wake up at dawn monday to sunday  to go to the mall and make some shopping for them. That requires her paying close attention to tv commercials, just to know where the best offers are. She is gonna make an auction and would bring her laptop, her newest clothes and her couch and give all the money she obtains to the charity.

You'll be glad to hear that she has been recently admitted as a full fledged member to the PG, or Prude Gang, a fellowship committed to remain virgins until we find the right man and marry him. We are alcohol free but we love to organize little meetings in our OR (Oratory Room) where we serve some snacks and share with friends. Patricia told us all she just adores her family. She has this weakness for her grandpa and his hunting for pleasure tradition. She loves her brother Ben to such extent that I find it hard to believe he would ever move away and break the close bond they share. They hardly have any fight, not being for driving issues. Jennifer always insists she should drive only because she believes it would be safer that way. She gets along with her mom so well she says she's got two bestest friends: Amy and mom. Lately, she is in love with the idea of moving to a waterclub condo so her dad could bring her on the boat often. Plus she loves old people, she is so willing to help them replace their dentures and diapers, to sort out their pills, to apply suppositories...she would trade Winston for a cat just to get those people the company of a dog. Well, she knows that wouldn't be possible any soon because she is certain you are considering having another couple of children with the only hope any of them resembles our beloved Jennifer Patricia. Anyway, she is willing to give up her condo dream only to remain at home and teach her little brothers or sisters all she has learnt from you, all her treasured values the most important of them to never tell a lie. This is our Jennifer, I can't wait to see the amazing woman she is gonna  turn  into.

I remain to your disposal for any eventual explanation you may need. Yours sincerely,

BM.
