Sidenote....I don't know if it was an overheating issue or what, but after I shut the console off I checked the back and underneath and it didn't feel an more hot than normal. It's pretty well ventilated, so I'm stumped. I hope my 3rd 360 isn't starting to die a slow death.

I was playing BioShock just 3 minutes ago. I died in the game and my TV screen just went black and quickly flashed to the Dashboard. Then my tray ejected. So, I closed the tray and restarted the game. It got to the start screen for the game and it flashed back to the Dashboard (I didn't have the controller in my hand to accidentally hit any buttons) and tray ejected again. No red lights of any kind. Not even one. This is my third 360 and I've yet to see this happen. Anyone have a clue what the problem might be? Any help is appreciated.

Something I found amusing early this morning....My 360 hit the s**t last weekend and my white box arrived this Saturday. I packed it up yesterday and dropped it off at a UPS store this morning, first thing before work. I walk in with the box in my hand and 3 feet before I even get to the counter where you could read the label the guy that was working goes, "Got a 360 for me?" All I could do was laugh and reply, "Yeah." Obviously, he's seen a lot of 360s be shipped back, at least enough to know what the box they go back in looks like from a distance.

My first Xbox 360 broke last Sunday. I called M$Sunday and the box cameThursday and i sent it in same day and I got an email next day saying they recieved it. They said it is going to take 4 - 6 weeks. Question, is it really going to take that long?

Unfortunately, yes, probably.

dja1....first time I sent mine in to get fixed or replaced it took a little over a month to get it back to me after they received it. i don't know if that's the norm b/c i've only done it once (i'm about to find out a second time though b/c my 2nd one hit the s**t last night and i put a repair request into that new site of theirs). i want mine back by 8/21 for bioshock and i haven't even sent mine back yet, so i know that's wishful thinking on my behalf. i would doubt you see it by 8/13, but here's hoping for both your sake and mine.

I just got a new 360 back today. It took 19 days to get the box, send my 360 back and have it back to me. MS did better than I thought they would and I'm glad to have it back. My only beef was with the customer support guy that told me I'd have the box to send my 360 back at my house in 3-4 days.....It took 11.

That pic of the Vista desktop looks strangely close to the Mac OS desktop.
