Quiet please.

Well, After all the comings and goings of christmas and the new year Ive gotten myself back to college, and unfortunatly, back to work. I find myself craving atleast alittle time to myself, to read or play some of the many games Ive recently snatched up[old games, fair enough]. Ive spent so much of my student loan already, I hate it. When it comes to spending money, my will power is currently nil. Apologies to anyone that cares, Ive not posted on here for a bit because Ive been too busy over at animepaper.net. If you'd like to see my artistic contributions to it, look over yonder. Times a-waisting, have a decent weekend! Enjoy your free time, while you still have it.

Music im tuned into righthisecond: Peacock Tail - Boards of Canada.

merry chri.. OBJECTION!!!

Its abit late but, merry christmas reader! I would have posted sooner but the DS has me in more trials than judge judy this month. Thats right folks, Phoenix Wright even. Alright so everyones already played it, but this is my first go around with it and im glued!

Behind the times once again this christmas, I bought myself a ps2! Cheap and with plenty of great games, I saw this as a chance to get into as many games I wished Id played years ago, while I still have some time off during the holidays. Canis Canem Edit, FFXII, FFX, and Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 have also had a chunk of my time since the 25th. Look at you lot with your next gen systems, yeah you. F*** off.

I hope you all had a Bill and Ted's exellent christmas adventure and look forward to a great new year.

Music im tuned into righthisecond: Genesis - Justice

Freshness factor five thousand.

With all the bustle of the christmas season its easy to get lost and be late for gift buying! which is why im taking time out this weekend to gather all my pennies and hit the streets, I suggest you get to it also. Its not come to and end yet but I feel as though this years gone by so quick, I guess thats usually the case after the fact, never the less, its crazy stuff.

No snow yet. No snow in the forseeable december, which is definatly bad times for Newcastle. To everyone that has snow falling in their area: please go out and jump around in it abit. Enjoy it for the both of us.

Music im tuned into right this second!: Bodysnatchers - Radiohead

Exit music.

I know everyones probably done this, which lessens the significance of it, but I feel I should say something anyway. (Not that anyone reads this bloody blog.)

You were a great editor Jeff, I loved your attitude towards games and attitude towards life. You made me laugh, made me think and now, made me sad. I hope you find something better in whatever venture you undertake next, and if possible - I'll see you there. Im sure I speak for everyone who had an interest in Gamespot when I say, we're gonna miss you man.

See you around.

Music im tuned into right this second: High & Dry (Radiohead cover)Pete Kuzma.

I lose, therefor I am.

Well, i didnt win the Fallout 3 competition, what can i say? i wouldnt be that botherd but honestly, the grand prize winners entry was far from amazing. It would be kinda neat in the game but it wasnt funny or really that inventive.

Just for kicks, my 'perk' went something like this:

"your mother said if you kept pulling faces, it'd stay that way. Even mutants dont like your haggard, ghoul-like ass. The worst part is - even when your happy, you still look like your taking a dump" lets say... it ups intelligence but lacks charisma.

Back to mourning.

Hiatus.

I hate not having a console. Im playing snes and genesis games via emulator on my Mac but its just not going to cut it. As soon as christmas time rolls around my gaming hiatus will be over, in the form of a DS. Thankyou christmas. That Harvey birdman game looks great, when i saw it on OntheSpot i was stoked to play it but its just another check on the list of games i probably wont get to play.

Anyone seen Flight of The Conchords? its a great show, on HBO in the US but i just bought the series over here in the old U-to-the-K. The manager Murry makes it most of the time, its amazing. Time for work, mmmmmgoodbye.

Objection!!!!

There should be more games like Phoenix Wright, period.
On another note, im off to work for a 'christmas meeting' for 2 hours, wheres the need? *sigh* the joys of Starbucks.
Ive been listening to loads of music from games I havnt played in ages (thus the forum thread with the same subject name), Breath of Fire III? yessss please, the tunes from that game are so jazz orientated, its cool to see an rpg that deviated from the musical norm.

Modern classics: why they dont exist.

In my opinion: games just aren't that memorable anymore. Is it the development? is it the industry direction towards big 'blockbuster' titles? is it me? any of these could be true, any way you slice it, they just aren't that timeless. Even games that people love like Gears of war, wait, before your head explodes in one big "OMG", I loved that game, just not that to the extent that i want to play it anymore, which as it happens is the same as pretty much every other game i played this year bar halo 3.

Where are the Sonics? (okay, okay, hes not exactly 'THE S***' right now), the Marios?, the Final Fantasy 7s?? (not literally these games, i mean games with that sort of status) I hope next year boasts more content that will satisfy the need for games that people will still love for many moons to come. If theres any games that you feel defy my logic, please, holler.
