"Notes", The End of MFUJ & Goodbye Gamespot...

1) Track 4 of 4 from my 4th album: "Love, Death, Loss & Redemption":

This is the last MFUJ song ever so I decided to end on an experimental note. I combined autobiographical narration with audio from the plays I've been in over the last few years. In a way this song wraps up any loose ends from the 1st three albums. Thanks again to Cousin Eddy for designing the album cover so well. That's what inspired the video's simple but effective movement.

Even though I will no longer produce new material, you can revisit the songs you liked, or discover something you hadn't heard yet. I think despite my limited natural musical talent, I was still able to write some interesting, sometimes challenging or even thought provoking music. And some of it was weird experimental stuff or goofy fun. MFUJ was always a labor of love. I never intended to make anything commercial that would earn me money. It was always about trying new things and taking risks.

Thanks to all those who have supported the band and downloaded the music. If you haven't heard MFUJ, give it a try. Maybe you'll find some songs that you like.

3) Yes. I'm retiring from gamespot. I have become increasingly wary and concerned about my overreliance on technology, especially the internet. So I'm giving up all my usual haunts (gamespot, facebook, etc.) I want to thank all the wonderful people I've gotten to know during my time here: Jrod, Des, Vice, Eddy, loopy, T, Aaron, Devouring One, Tre and all the other great people I've met through the various unions I've been in and other random places. I probably won't return back here so I just wanted to wish everyone the best and say goodbye to you guys.

It's been fun.

Peace out.
