You don't need the transfer disc with the slim, the software is built in. When you connect the USB end to the slim a pop up will ask if you want transfer to or from the console as the official transfer cable is two way on the 360 slim.

For you guys that are saying Gamestop is soldout, and you have to wait. Other places sell the Slim also. So unless you need to to do the trade thing, which ends at the end of june, so thats a mute point.

I bought mine at Newegg.com on June 23rd for $299 no sales tax and free shipping, received it on Friday June 25th. Hope this helps.
