Guild Wars:Factions

Oooooh Golly. Am i crazy over this after i got it. It was endless playing days n night. If i dun have to go to work, eat and shower, i'd be sticking at my desk fighting in the immense world of this game. Graphics in general is 4.5/5. Fun in general is 4.5/5 too. Cos players will never feel rigid even they have leveled up to the max, cos there isn't a max level. Fully customisable attributes and fully exchangable profession let players have endless experiment as to which is the best combination of attributes, skills and equipment. When i feel like fighting in team battles with random players, (Or got bored waiting for players to pick you for a mission.) i can always get to a "battle arena" and duke it out. Or simply create a Player VS Player only character and forget about all that questing. I like this feature a lot. I met quite a number of frens in this world too, mostly they are friendly souls with team spirit as we slaughter monsters among our party doing quests. And we get to sell off the goodies we got from monster drops and loots to other players, using the game's conveinient barter system. Earn lots of cash to craft the next best pretty Armor and weapons, not just to show off to other peers, but to get further in the game as a necessity. Without good party members and sufficient equipment, a player never gets far.

All in all i will still give this game 4.5/5 after a few months of intensive playing.

Land Of The Dead

This game might as well be dead. From the first 10mins of playing this game, i got sick of it and thought why the hell did i even rent the game. Credits go to the designer artists of the cover for this game. They've succeeded in luring me and perhaps many others to play this game. But it also leads to many disappointments. First of all, the graphics looks ok, the physics of the game is satisfactory albeit quite jerky when the main character walks around. (Foot steps sound like he's a giant.) Zombies are a bit too tough. (4 headshots from the rifle to kill it. Punches? Forget it.) The first area when the games starts has over 5 zombies already. And i only have ammo for about 2 of them. No clear instructions as to goals in the game. I often have to use cheats to get through doors as it's a total waste of time hunting for keys that seemingly doesn't exist. (e.g. i ran about the whole house looking for an entrance to the basement where the barn key are supposed to be, but all the doors are either locked or blocked from the other side. But after i cheated and walked through the door, there's nothing on the other side to block it.Strange!) And the game just doesn't proceed or gives instructions to the player after i finished looting the barn. Nothing happens after i kill off every zombie in sight. I mean, i've seen worse games, but this one isn't right for me at all, or most of the gamer population. I seriously wonder what the hell is wrong with those people who comment this game as 'exciting' or 'loads of fun'. Probably the game developers themselves...

And so, i went on to play spell force instead.
