I can't even imagine how ridiculous the Sony product placement in Spider-Man 3 is going to be, especially after seeing Casino Royale. Don't get me wrong, I loved Casino Royale, and normally I don't mind product placement because everyone uses name brand products in everyday life. But when every single technological gadget is a Sony, it's unrealistic and annoying. Everyone used Sony Ericsson phones, everyone had Vaios, and there was even a blatant Blu-Ray appearance. Spider-Man 3 is probably going to be even worse. If I don't see a Playstation 3 (or a Playstation 3 billboard somewhere in Manhattan), I'll be shocked.

Zelda does not support 480p - it gets upscaled from interlaced 480 - in the very same way all other wii games "support" 480p. None of the games up-to-date has been designed using the 480p technology.

That makes absolutely no sense at all. 480p is simply a display mode. If your TV tells you it's playing a game in 480p, it's playing it in 480p. The Virtual Console games support 480p, for heaven's sake.

Now, when it comes to fighting games, why mess with the controls of an established franchise in where everyone is already familar with the control layout? When new Street Fighter incarnations are created do people suddenly add in buttons just for kicks? Or move them around just to mess you up? No they keep it the same, add new characters, update the graphics. I can't think of any fighting game that has broken the mold/feel of its predessor.RahnAetas
That logic can be applied to any franchise that moves to the Wii, not just fighters. Take Madden 07, for instance. EA could have taken the easy way out and neglected to use any motion controls in the Wii version, but they didn't. They worked hard and did a fantastic job integrating the FreeMotion system, and as a result, it's considered by most to be the best version of the game. Nintendo is trying to break down the logic that dictates "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Sure, a game can play fine with the tried and true traditional controls, but with the Wiimote, they have the potential to be even better. I'll say it again and again--Brawl needs Wiimote functionality. No other options. No substituting Classic or Gamecube controllers. Nintendo has pitched the Wii as being a complete revolution in gaming, and all of their first party titles need to back it up. And on a second note, they need to respect the consumer. People are shelling out $60 for Wiimote/Nunchuck combos, and telling them that they'll need to buy a Classic Controller to play a high-profile first-party game like Brawl is just cruel.

Nintendo's decision not to use motion controls in Brawl smacks of laziness. There is no reason why motion controls wouldn't work. It wouldn't have to be complex. For characters' B moves, just hold down B and jab the Wiimote left, right, up, or down. You could use the same concept for all of the basic A attacks as well as the smash attacks. It would be awesome and would make the multiplayer experience even more frenzied and fun. Again, there is no reason why motion controls wouldn't work. Absolutely none. Brawl is clearly one of the Wii's flagship titles, and if Nintendo doesn't exploit the possibilities of the Wiimote in it, it's almost like they're conceding the limitations of the device. I have a feeling that Miyamoto and company are going to force Sakurai's team to use motion controls. After all, Miyamoto didn't think using the Wiimote as your sword in Zelda would work, and thankfully, he proved himself wrong. I'm actually glad that Brawl has been pushed back so much, because I see it as a good sign that the game is getting a control overhaul. As much as I love Melee, I don't want this game to be a lazy Melee rehash. If it has no motion controls, that's what it's likely to be.

Once again, I know more then you and I know they're running in 240p
If you want to say otherwise that's fine.
Still doesn't make it true.

In that case, you must know more than every single person who's played NTSC Virtual Console games on an HDTV with component cables, because you're the only one denying that they play in 480p. You're just a genius, aren't you?

[quote="Jaysonguy"]They don't. Like all the NES games are running in 240p just like they did on the NES

Good heavens, they run in 480p! What on earth is wrong with you? Everyone else knows it but you. You're right and everyone else is wrong? For heaven's sake, your television knows they run in 480p! A mindless box can figure it out and you can't. Sheesh. But back to the topic... I'm not understanding why so many people are responding with "Can't you read?" It has nothing to do with that. A video review is great because it pairs up the reviewer's opinions with footage from the game. If they have a particular criticism, they can pair it with footage from the game to help illustrate the point. Furthermore, video reviews have almost become a sign of respect for a game. Whether or not the game is good, it's a sign that the game is significant. Not having a video review for Wario Ware is ridiculous. They gave it a very high score (higher than almost every other review site or publication), as well as an Editor's Choice award, but they thought it didn't merit a video review? They gave ROCKSTAR TABLE TENNIS for the 360 a video review, yet they've failed to give video reviews to significant Wii releases since its launch. There's something seriously wrong with that.

It's absolutely one of the best, if not the best, VC purchases you could possibly make. Don't doubt your decision at all, my friend. It's nothing short of a masterpiece.

Having a hard time reading?Jaysonguy
Not at all, jayson. I simply find video reviews to be a nice complement to the written reviews. Something wrong with that? By the way, do you still think Virtual Console games don't run in 480p?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Gamespot hasn't done a single video review for a Wii game since launch. Hell, they gave Wario Ware a 9.1 and an Editor's Choice award and STILL didn't give it a video review. What's the deal, Gamespot?

The Wii would be perfect for Kingdom Hearts 3. I absolutely loved the first Kingdom Hearts, and although I enjoyed KH2, I found it disappointing. It's probably the most button-mashy game I've ever played. Hell, in order to put the final blow on the final boss, you were required to mash X as hard as you possibly could. And it was a cakewalk compared to KH. Ridiculously easy. The Wiimote is the perfect remedy to the button mashing. It would add an insane amount of variety to the game, as opposed to mashing X over and over again. And in terms of graphics, the Wii is ideal. It's a significant step up from the PS2, which people seem to forget. And why would anyone want photorealism in a Kingdom Hearts game? Do you honestly want all of KH3 to look like the CGI intros and endings in the first two games? I thought Donald and Goofy looked freakish in them. And as DQ9 shows, Square Enix will not hesitate to jump ship with their franchises. I won't be surprised at all if SE puts KH3 on the Wii.
