No, I also have a 32 inch lcd hdtv (from Sceptre), and no matter what I have tried, the picture is constantly blotchy and blurred. I even went through the trouble of buying new component cables, and when I hooked them up, the picture was slightly better, but was still not as good as it would have been on a simple standard definition tv. Since you have waited this long to purchase a ps2, my advice is to wait until you've saved up enough money to buy a ps3 and play your ps2 games on it. Hooked up with an hdmi cable, the ps3 plays ps2 games with crystal clear resolution that looks a heck of a lot better than a ps2 with component cables. Believe you me, the ps3 is worth the money.
Wait, I really do not understand how leaving the ps3 on standby can be wasting electricity.The only component of the ps3 that is actually using electricity is that tiny red light and I mean come on, how much electricity do you think that thing uses? I refuse to believe that leaving that little red light on is harmful to the environment because it is using up too much unnecessary power. I believe standby is the way to go.
I'm pretty sure Sephiroth is going to win because I don't think any of the other characters in the poll destroyed an entire village and massaced hundreds of people. Sephiroth wins because he likes to kill people, and of course, how could he not win after killing Aeris, the most innocent character in Final Fantasy History??? He's got it won without a doubt.
