So,yesterday marked the first day of the Handball EURO which is held in Denmark.Although there were some games played in the early afternoon,the opening,and also the most entertaining game was a North-european derby,Denmark vs. Norway.

The game started mostly evenly,although Norway did have more iof the ball and had a nice lead of 6-3 in the 12th minute,but the visitors manage to get into a one goal diference.Buta goal from Tvende made it 14-10 for Norway on in the 29th minute,and gave a nice lead for the host on halftime.The lead of 4 goals was held right until the 54th minute,when Denmark magaed a 3-0 run,and made it into touching distance,but the 9m shot from Boesen in the last minute was saved,and Norway ran out 27-26 winners.The Top Scorrer was Lasso Boesen (DEN) wuth 9 goals,one goal in front of Havard Tvedten (NOR), who stopped at 8 goals.The goalkeepers were having a rather average day.Steinar Ege (NOR) had 14 saves,and Kasper Hvidt (DEN) 12.The other game in Group B was between Russia and Montenegro.The undredog suprised the Russsians by drawing the game 25-25 (15-15)
In the other groups there were also some suprises.In group A,Croatia beat the world championship finalist Poland by 32-27 (14-14),while Slovenia won against the Czech Republic 34-32.In group C Germany dominated Belarus 34-25 (16-13),and Spain suffer a rather suprising loss against Hungary 35-28 (14-12).And lastley,in group D France got of with a scare,beated Slovakia by 32-21 (20-18 ) and Sweden demolished Iceland 24-19 (11-9).
