SSDs have limited read/write cycle life spans. I know you have to be careful with this on computers (data must be evenly distributed, can't use swap space, etc). Does the PS3 account for this limitation? Other than that, I know 5,400 rpm drives can be a b*tch but $400 is a lot for minimal performance gain. As for the fanboys, they will always be here. You have 3 options: become one, ignore them, or waste your time b*tching at them.
