Final Fantasy XII

So far I have put up my Xbox 360 Elite and Halo Reach and brought out the silver Playstation 2 Slim and started up my Final Fantasy XII that i have bought at Gamestop along with Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, Final Fantasy X and X-2, and Shadow of the Colossus. I used to have an old disc of Final Fantasy XII but it was messed up but to my sadness I held in my emotions and went to Gamestop and bought another version. Mind me my budget sucks because of being in college and being on a salary of just being paid $145 dollars a month for drill twice a month, but i did not care i had to buy my favorite game again and play till my heart is content. So every night either me or my pal would play it (we both have our own file) and see who is the furthest and better at it. Most people might not agree to this post but Final Fantasy XII has to be one of the best in the series besides Final Fantasy VII. Final Fantasy XII has a great battle system because of how it doesn't have to be turn based but instead the quickest attacks first. Also for a PS2 game that came out in 2006 the CGI quality of the movie scenes is fantastic. The way each movie seems so realistic makes me feel like i am watching a real movie and am involved with Vaan's quest to help free the kingdom of Dalmasca from the Archadian Empire. Vaan, Penelo, Basch, Fran, Balthier, and Ashe make the best team in Final Fantasy history due to their complete trust to each other and how they all make up for each other's weaknesses. The only team that I believe is better is the team off of Final Fantasy IV. So far the only thing my Xbox 360 is for is to watch movies on but other than that it is on the shelves growing a dust pile while the old school PS2 is taking its spot.

Gaming deaths, worst and saddest of all games.

Everyone has their favorite video game characters in the video games they play. So what would you do if your favorite character was killed and it surprised you? Well characters death has been an ongoing thing because to build up the suspense and make sure the developers made an impression in our minds, they start off by killing off some of the major and characters that we love. I would say the most saddest moment to me is when Zach from Final Fantasy: Crisis Core was killed. Throughout playing the game I grew to say that Zach had to be my favorite video game character of all time, besides Cecil and Rydia from FFIV, and when the Shinra soldiers killed him at the end of Crisis Core i was devastated. I was so devastated that i have not to this day play the ending again. That was the second time ever that i have been devastated over a game ending. The first being Final Fantasy X. Why Final Fantasy X? I would say the whole emotion of the story really got to me while i played Final Fantasy X and when Tidus had to leave because he was a dream, I was devastated because the whole emotion of the game got to me. Now there are a lot of other people who has their own favorite characters in video games and have had their own favorites get killed off. I would say the death of Soap Mactavish had to be a low blow to a lot of gamers. Why? Soap became an influential character throughout Modern Warfare and became one of the most liked characters in gaming. He survived through onslaught after onslaught of being barraged by bullets, grenades and even getting a knife to the chest. After being in three video games the developers decide to kill him off to make the game more interesting. I would say even though he was only in three games he wasn't as influential as Roach off of Modern Warfare 2. Roach became a bad*** for gaming characters and with his funny comments and also the awesome skull face cover he wore, he grew into the hearts of every gamer. Roach's death became a big deal because who knew that someone whom everyone started to love would be killed off so soon. Now to go off the sad part and to the comical part of this, a lot of gamer's also like to play around and try to see how their favorite character is killed. Such as in Skyrim, Lydia is my favorite but i love to Fus Ro Dah her off of mountains to see the comical side of it and i also love to watch giants make her fly into the air. A lot of games have their own character death's and each game puts an impression on most gamer's let it be Sage Tellah from Final Fantasy IV, Aerith from Final Fantasy VII, Zach, Roach, Soap, or hell even if you lose a life in Mario, the deaths always impact the gamer's lives because they fell to find their own favorite characters.
