FF4 Survey (PS3 vs Wii users) Xbox360 users may answer too!

Alright. So...I'm writing a huge blog article on this for the website (Beyond the Camera's Lens)...since I've been nosing around, and it's clear this is a fairly large fan issue. However, I need some input. PLEASE BE HONEST. :) I'll be posting the results and my own input on the topic here, on BCL, and 1up.com.

General questions:

What current game consoles do you own? (out of Xbox360, Wii, PS3)

Did you own a PS2 or an Xbox at one time? (or still do? (name which ones or yes to both))

Do you feel loyalty to a particular system (microsoft, sony, nintendo)? If so, why?

What kind of gamer would you describe yourself as? Hardcore, Casual, Social, Average, etc (Why do you consider youself to be like this?)

Do you buy games based on systems they're released on, or systems based on what games they have out?

Fatal Frame questions:

Are you disappointed that Fatal Frame IV is coming out for the Wii? (why?)

Which Fatal Frame Games do you own? (be specific on console & region versions too)

Are you planning on purchasing FF4? (If you already have a Wii, mention that please)

(For users without Wii's):Will you buy a Wii console just to play Fatal Frame IV? (Or were you planning on buying the system eventually anyways?)

For and against:

Are you for a Wii release? (or against? state why)

Are you for a PS3 release? (or against? state why)

Why do you think FF4 would be better on a PS3?
(if you are against this, you don't have to answer)

Why do you think FF4 would be better on a Wii?
(if you are against this, you don't have to answer?)

Do you agree with 'Console jumping?' (Ie, a company switching from one console to another)

PS3 Users: Did you buy your own console? Or did someone buy it for you?

Wii Users: Did you buy your own console? Or did someone buy it for you?

Xbox360 Users: Do you play your Fatal Frame Xbox games on your 360? (If so, how often?)

Is there anything compatibility wise you're not pleased with?

PS3 Users: Do you play your Fatal Frame PS2 games on you PS3? (if so, how often?)

Is there anything compatibility wise you're not pleased with?

Etc, final thoughts?

Are there any questions or facts, if any, concerning this topic, you would want to see addressed?

Is there anything you wish to say on the matter or your own opinions?

Slow Blogging

Actually, there's been a *LOT* of stuff for me to blog about, real life, other websites, and other commitments just keep taking my time away.

Right now, I finally get my 'break' for a month or two. I'm using it for portfolio prep and for a huge new revamp of Beyond the Camera's Lens. (I haven't forgotten about it, there's actually a LOT of website related things I've been doing for it, just updates behind the scenes).

I'm hoping to have it done and up my hinamatsuri (doll festival, march 3rd).

So yays. Fatal Frame 4 for wii. Now, if I can actually *FIND* the blasted game console...which honestly, I have to wonder if the conspiracy thories about Nintedo purposely not making enough are true. @.@;; But it means more news for BCL, and more cool stuff (like walkthroughs of doom..) up soon.

Re walkthroughs > For those that do them...MAJOR kudos...it takes a lot of time, and even though I love the Fatal Frame games to death...sometimes I get bored and flustered...so KUDOS.

So yeahs, still around, working on a survival horror blogsite (it's up, just not updated). I have a few articles for that coming. (Not just fatal frame stuff, its geared at horror in general..particularly asian horror, anime, manga etc.)

And yeah, that's life with me. Take care with all of you.

Appreciate the writers..

The Walkthrough writers.

I have to tell you, I'm working on a massive one myself right now, and it amazes me the amount of time and effort put in for a decent walkthrough.

I'm not a numbers gamer. I'm all about the prettiness, the plot, the enjoyment of my character kicking butt of another character. I don't care what level I am as long as I can achieve the goal placed before me.

So technical stuff (for example in fatal frame) which means the amount of points for a doubleshot, etc have never interested me.

Now, as I walkthrough the games and catalog and meticulously check one thing after ANOTHER...I find myself in great awe and appreciation of the walkthrough writer.

I also really want to know some of you guys' secrets because man how do you get up a walkthrough within hours of the game being released...talk about true power playing!

So here's to you writers, from an appreciative player who has once in a while find herself hopeless lost in a random dungeon, tunnel, palace, haunted mansion, etc.

TGS coming soon!

Well, I am excited about TGS. At least, as far as Tecmo is concerned, there is usually much more of a presence and information concerning their latest games than at E3.

Some really cool news, Kikuchi-san's latest project for the Wii, Pangya golf, now has an official website!

Japanese website open!
http://www.tecmo.co.jp/product/pangya/index.html

So far, Tecmo hasn't released their list of games for the convention. Not surprising though, since Tecmo tends not to do this. Sony has released a preliminary list, but  the list is incomplete, since it only contains  games with Demos...and  most game companies wait on game announcements.

I'm getting more and more excited though. :D Gamespot's coverage so far has been insightful. It took me a little bit to find 1up.com's TGS page...but it's still early. :)

Progress

Making progress....

My VG contacts are slowly coming back now. (My aol account ate my old contact list). I'm back on Tecmo USA's mailing list again. (score)

I've gotten wind of a rumor (just a rumor for now mind you) that according to a leaked PS3 list from sony concerning the Tokyo Game Show, that Fatal Frame 4 may in fact be announced and/or shown at the convention.

So, regardless if there is an actual announcement, I am probably going to have to double my efforts into at least getting all the previous game sections fleshed out on Cameraslens.com.

Still, recent news makes me hopeful, even with the extra work. (Because I really don't want to have to be working on FOUR different sections at once.. @.@ )

Still alive...

Barely.

Finished with convention stuff, finished with temp work stuff...now to start back in gear with fatal frame stuff.

I'm slowly working on bios for every single character in the series on BCL.(http://www.cameraslens.com/) Plus I need to update the artwork sections, the walkthroughs, wonderful chaos.

My goal is updates twice a week.

I'm also slowly working on an overall site design. It won't be out until New Years probably, but yeah. It's going to be close to the current design, just some tweaks here and there to fix things I'm really not liking right now.

If anyone has ideas for what they want to see immediately, let me know.

I guess the best thing to do is to fill in the blanks one step at a time. @.@ I guess that means finishing some more bios today eh?

Two more things

On a quick related note,
They also released the Zero 3 Comic Anthology
http://www.cameraslens.com/zero3comic.php

Very great series of horror and parody stories based on Fatal Frame III (with Tecmo's approval!!). It costs a little under $10 US, and definately WORTH it for any FF fan to get. (Even if you can't read Japanese) I'm working with a friend on translations *fingers crossed* Hopefully going to post those soon.

Also, messaging me here on my gamespot account isn't a great way of contacting me. (Although I'm going to TRY to be more active again..this isn't really a place I come to regularly) For those that wish to contact me concerning Fatal Frame questions or chatting, you're best bet is through information here:
http://www.cameraslens.com/contact.php

Still here! Really.

Hey peoples.

I'll have more survival horror related blogs very shortly, just been caught up in a lot of things right now, including totally remodeling Beyond the Camera's Lens (Http://www.cameraslens.com/)

Some nice things, is that FFIII is coming to Europe tomorrow! (As project zero III) courtesy of Take Two Interactive.

Also pretty sweet, they sent me this interview they had with Shibata-san
http://www.cameraslens.com/take2interview.php

Check it out! I assure you you won't be disappointed.

Meanwhile, I'm still here playing games. Slowly making my way through Soul Calibur III, as well as playing Tokobot from Tecmo. :)

(I know...no real survival horror around at the moment..I've beaten FF3 and RE4...although Siren2 is looming on the horizon, and I really HOPE the US gets Rule of the Rose).

We'll see...

Playing Fatal Frame III

Playing Fatal Frame III

So amazingly cool. In fact, why are you reading this blog of mine?! Go play the game silly!

I'll probably post first impressions etc here later.
