The Bravia is an HDTV, watched HD content on it. Hisense is some brand hhgregg carries. Might be new to the US, not sure.

I was given a new 46" LCD TV for Christmas, a Hisense.

The picture looks great, but when faces are on screen under certain lighting conditions (usually very bright), it looks like they have orange splotches on their face. Like they're wearing cheap make-up to make their skin look more orange.

Everything else looks fine though. I have played around with different settings but it doesn't seem to get rid of the splotches.

Anyone know what's up with these splotches? Is it a quirk of the brand or something that is common with LCD TVs? I never had this issue with my 32" Sony Bravia.

I didn't read the article but I assume it is in reference to the payroll tax holiday employees get (employers still pay full P/R taxes, because Obama hates them). The P/R tax holiday is currently in effect for 2011, do the Republicans oppose its continuation into 2012?

My cat sleeps on my desk chair in my room. Whenever I get up from my chair for more than 60 seconds she jumps on it and claims it as her own.

I'd say it would receive an MA rating for the dismemberment alone.

Too soon. PS3 has hit its stride, why ruin it?

It could be a ground loop. It's an issue I had/have too. It is caused by another device connected to the same socket as the PS3. Try unplugging every device plugged into the same wall socket as the PS3 one by one until the lines disappear. When they do disappear you have found the device causing the problem. For me, they only appear in dark games, such as Batman, and are caused by my Cable DVR.

OK, in for one on Amazon. Do they charge me now or later for preorders? There was a $100 gift card or something with that bundle, for those that didn't know. That's why it is number 1.
