I'm a casual gamer, used to play quite a bit, but have reinforced my priorities and focus more on life and college now. As is such, delays on these next-gens aren't really that devastating - sure, they're a bummer in the end, because inevitably that means we must wait longer for it, but as we've all come to know and expect of system releases, the first batch is a hassle to obtain, and then, a year or so later we're experiencing problems others who waited don't have to deal with... Does Sony lie? Probably, as comes with the business; but it only affects those who aren't heeding the warning signs of old.. it's not even that for me, I'm not interested in purchasing a ps3 at all right now, as quite a few of you will agree - there's no point. The quality of the games is what matters to me, and we saw the lineup, or at least a nice glimpse of some that shall be available upon release, and I was incredibly disappointed. Sure, later it'll offer more promising venues, and I don't think I need to mention them, but until then, it's not worth my time nor stress, and the same should be for all of you. There's a REASON we label these systems "Next-Gen" and for that reason, I've held off on the xbox360 as well. Are they pumping out quality games? Sure, but I'm sorry, if you want the trophy-title known as next-gen, you better back it up, and right now, that's not the case for any of them and won't be for years to come - although Wii isn't interested in this, and kudos to them, I respect them and will continue supporting them for their gem-like giants, and unique innovations. I cannot nor will not try to defend or offend European gamers, because I'm not one of them, and haven't experienced their pains on the topic..we can say they're getting the better deal in the end, a better product - more refined - but who's to say, maybe they're at the point now, that they don't even care if it's faulty or not..they just want it. Not sure how they'll go about handling this age-old dilemma, but my hats off to ya'll. That's my take on that issue~and yes, it should be addressed by Sony, and other corp. I'm not gonna bash any system - they're all good nonetheless. They will all offer us great gaming experiences no doubt, after all the drama. We all recognize this as a console war, and I really wish that wasn't the case, because they only serve to complement the other. If Sony fixed the issue on their price tag and deal for the consumer, it'd be nice for everyone and especially them, but they won't in this case, and while I hate to say I won't support them until years after their product's been out..they kinda asked for it. They probably will sell out on release -great- and I'm glad their are people out there still willing to put all faults aside. It will act as Sony's insurance, and keep them in business...I only want Sony to prosper, as should we all because it's for us. I just think it'd be b~a~d news for them and any other system, if the majority of consumers were like me, and are waiting till it actually delivers, because their funds would sorely be hurting...anyways, here's to a hopeful, prosperous (long-time-from-now) future, for Sony, Xbox, and Nintendo. Please don't disappoint us.
