I got both Crysis and CoD4 for X-Mas, and I've completed 'em both. Honestly, I enjoyed CoD4 a great deal more, but maybe the genre just falls more into my taste, the game had awesome visuals and didn't require very much. It's also a living proof that the right colors can make a swamp hag beatiful. As for Crysis, the visuals are way better. AND KNOW that the only stuff that chops framerate to pieces is shader quality, resolution and antialising. With multiplayer, CoD4 multiplayer rocks my world, but Crysis multiplayer depends much on the other players. It may sound like I don't like Crysis, but I do, It's an awesome game, and they are both worth buying.
PS: Cloak is your friend, use him!
Crysis Singleplayer is short if you ignore all secondary objectives, and/or if you play on one of the two easy difficulties.
Look at it in the big picture, the sigleplayer is great quality and with high replayability if you didn't nerd the demo too much.
Anyway, do you think there will be a sequel? The ending doesn't really lay down any clues.
