I said it in a couple other listings, but this just makes me wonder what the people are using when doing these, cause it's some strong stuff to not be capable of even nominating Persona 4 Golden here... Sound Shapes may be an interesting game to play, but it's a joke to put that or a rehash and downgraded version of Littlebig Planet. Ahead of Persona 4 Golden...

The fact that Torchlight II is on here instead of Persona 4 Golden speaks volumes about the lack of effort being put into actually trying to award the "most deserving" game. The Last Story or Dragon's Dogma are two of the top three RPGs this year imo, and Guildwars is not the third one. A nominee, yes but not even top 3.

Having enjoyed both series to a solid extent, I really don't think I can say Halo 4 is better than Borderlands 2, and Farcry 3 I think was also more deserving possibly (DAT KOMODO BACTERIA). The expectations held for Halo 4 left a lot of people myself and some strong Halo fanatics in my Xbox group a bit wanting for more. Borderlands 2 delivered on what we wanted and hoped for. Kinda sad picking the safe choice. At least it wasn't Call of Duty... *trollface*

Game Industry people need to stop lauding awards for console-playable strategy games. There were two that were leaps and bounds better in Endless Space, as well as Crusader Kings II. XCOM is rather underwhelming. Whoever gave the nod to XCOM likely has too much ADD to play Paradox Interactive Strategy game.

As much as I want to say NHL. Having Played Football Manager games, they are like video game CRACK. Even if soccer/football isn't in your top 3 sports... it's that drastic in how much time and enjoyment you have. Add in the fact you can literally edit the game's players/teams/cities/stadiums almost at will... is astoundingly impressive. If there was a baseball or hockey game like this it would be Game of the Year material.
