i didn't push. you asked "why", then you asked for more reasons, and then you asked for more reasons. then, you start sniveling. that's all. now, you are asking me more questions. i will not answer, because your invitations will lead to accusations of rape.

Actually I didn't ask you anything. It was you who answered me in the first place when I asked a different person a question.

You said that I should "play the damn games instead of listening to reviews". I then asked "What's so bad about reviews?" You never answered that question which I why repeated it several times.

  • What is wrong with people sharing their opinions with each other? You seem perfectly fine by sharing your opinion on reviews right now don't you?
  • Can you give me a reason as to why I should?
  • And how would I play a damn game it there isn't a demo? Should I spend money on arental for a game that can be crap just because some people in the internet don't like certain reviews because they can't live with the reality that all games they might hype isn't great? And how may I ask are we use going to see if a game is good or not?
  • Word of mouth? Yeah right, which one should I trust more, the praisers or the haters

those are 4 questions that you asked when you quoted only my post. if you honestly didn't ask me those questions, you should: do a better job of directing your questions; indicate that your question was misdirected before you ask another one.

microsoft is just milking consumers dry of money ODST was originally suppose to come out as an expansion and even the reviewer shows that wasn't changed it's basically an expansion of Halo 3 the only difference is that microsoft knows unsuspecting fans will buy anything with halo on it so what do they do ? they say it's a full game and charge $60...

$60 for an expansion unbelievable the losers will be the ones who spent that amount of money for an expansion with 2005 graphics.

I wish the reviewer would not try to be safe and give the score it deserves 5.0 or 3.0 don't be scared do what you feel is right.

BodyElite

Its also unbelievable that you pay $60 for console games when PC gamers get their games for $50 with better graphics too huh?

Wii owners are getting ripped the most! Xbox 1 graphics, no HD, no surroundsound, no online, all for $60!!

hey guy.. the Wii is 250, the games are 50 at most, it has online play, and it has a little more power than the Xbox.

you aren't sheltering yourself by listening to reviews. you're sheltering yourself by accepting the reviews. if you check out actual, unedited footage of a game and like what you see, then rent it and like what you play, you are not sheltering yourself. you are thinking for yourself. and, with 5279 posts on this website alone, i must have assumed that your time really isn't that important.

Ah yes, the great concept of "Oh, my good I'm loosing the debate I better try an attack him personally and make him flame me so I can report him and win the debate". Sadly I'm far too intelligent for your poor excuse of ad hominem.

You see, I gladly live in a world that influences me in what games are actually of quality and which are not. You might not, that's perfectly fine but don't try and push your ideas on to people that will cost them time and money just because you can't live with the reality that some people don't agree with you.

What is wrong with people sharing their opinions with each other? You seem perfectly fine by sharing your opinion on reviews right now don't you?

[QUOTE="captain_diego"]Being able to take any weapon through any conditions, and not have it jam up on you.StryderK

Actually, some guns CAN still fire after going through all the conditions!

Case in point, there was this M-1 Garand that was buried under the sand of Normandy and washed by sea water for a month or so before the ocean finally exposed it. A sergent discovered it. Picking it up, he opened the breech to see there was live round in the chamber. The fastest way is to press the trigger and eject out the live round. Now before you say, why not manually eject the round, wouldn't that been safer? Well, like most people, the sergent thought there was no harm. after that long period of being buried in the sand and being washed by seawater (the gun was all rusted at this point), there was no way the gun would've fired right? WRONG! The sergent pointed the gun side ways, towards the ocean and pressed the trigger. He was almost shell shocked when the gun went BOOOM, fired the round and the recoil nearly tore his arm off! He manually ejected the rest of the rounds and sent the rifle to the rear for cleanning and redistribution!

The AK-47 is NOTORIOUS for reliability!

You got AK's that's been used for over 8 years without any cleaning, AK that was buried in snow, dust, dirt etc and still function, AK that been ran over by vehicles and still operate. During the Vietnam war, some VC's were known to fire the AK by only pointing the barrels out of water with the chambers still below. Ruined the gun afterward but it CAN FIRE! During Afganistan, AK were known to drop hundreds of feet down cliffs, bouncing around, land, collect dust for weeks until found. The Mujahadeens would simply insert a new clip in, rack the bolt, and continue to use them. So some weapons are KNOWN to be good in all conditions.

Although I have to argree that if you put an M-16 rifle to such conditions...You better watch out!

gee. thanks for that. makes me question whether or not I ever actually served in the USMC. but let's assume that i did, and that i know that you can't pick up everyone weapon someone drops in the mud and expect it shoot flawlessly.

so you can see things for yourself, not through someone else.JLF1

Yeah but I live in the real world and don't like the idea if sticking my head through the sand each time an opinion is floating around.

It's impossible for me or you to play every single game and find the best ones. I also hope you realise that if you were to really see it for yourself then you can not listen to any of your friend's opinions or from the developers. You will have to shelter yourself from everything.

Frankly my time and money is much more important than to spend it searching a pile of crap just to find a good game.

Do you have any other reason as to why I should stop listening to reveiws than to shelter myself from the world?
