The new Gamespot is nifty. I like it.

I do. I admit it freely.

Anyway, there's only two more weeks before I head back to my last year of school. It's hard to believe that I'm almost done. I'm looking forward to getting back into some Age of Empires III when I get there. Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart are diverting my attention away from it presently, but once I get back to the faster Internet at school, it's AoE time.

PS-If anyone wants to join me on AoE III, my name is...uh...oh yeah, it's EduardoII.

Just Waiting

Well, I haven't bought a game since Super Smash Bros. Brawl (except for downloading Protothea and Defend Your Castle). A special someone is getting me Mario Kart Wii for my birthday; otherwise, I'm waiting for Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2, Gyrostarr, and The Conduit to come out...although The Conduit won't be arriving until next year...

I sure hope The Conduit delivers the FPS experience that the Wii needs. I've also got hopes for a good FPS in Call of Duty 5. I'll guess that I'll just have to wait and see...

Been a While (x2)

The title is a little weird, I know. But there are two things that I am talking about when I say "been a while." The first is easy: it's been a while since I posted on here. Easy, huh?

The other is about Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It's been what, seven years since Melee came out? I remember playing Melee on Christmas morning with my brothers. It was the first Gamecube game we ever owned, and now the sequel is almost upon us. It's pretty exciting, but let's hope that it doesn't make me fail school!

Resident Evil on the brain, Age of Empires on the way

Yes, I've got Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, and I've been merrily popping away at hordes of zombies and other B.O.W.s for a few weeks. It's a blast!...pun intended. All of the extras and upgrades give you plenty of replay value (although the ultra-tough mini-game makes me want to scream), and two-player co-op adds that extra bit of fun. Plus, the extra story information is a great asset for any Resident Evil fan.

So, I've had Age of Empires III for several months now...but the laptop I currently own can't play it. That was a sad day when I found that out! (Target's return policy would not let me return it.) But now that my laptop's harddrive crashed (it's running temporarily now), I've got a new laptop on the way! Hooray! Now I can play it with my roommate, like we did last year with AoE II. I think we clocked more hours on that than we did in class combined one semester...okay, so it'sa bit of an exaggerration.

Battalion Wars 2

...I have it, and have had it for a week. It's great, I must say. Sure, the characters can get a tad annoying at times, but the gameplay and multiplayer more than make up for it. Does anyone else have it?

Zelda, BWii and others

Well, I beat Zelda: Phantom Hourglass the other day. It's definitely one ofthe best DS games on the market to date. Even the multiplayer is lots of fun...except for the insane amount of people that quit online! Oh well, what can you do?

I'm really looking forward to Battalion Wars 2 in a little over a week. I'm sad that there's no voice chat, but I'm sure that it'll still be tons of fun. The only bad part is that Super Mario Galaxy, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, and Medal of Honor Heroes 2 all come out a few weeks afterwards! Man, don't these companies know that I can't play everything at once?

The most exciting news that I've heard recently, though, is the announcement for the next Advance Wars game. Finally, online play! That's what I missed in the last game. Oh, and Okami coming to the Wii: I never had a chance to play it on the PS2, but it looked amazing. It looks like I'll have to give that one a try.

Zelda is cursed!!!

Yes, it's true. I was on my way back to campus (I have a break in my classes on Tuesday) from picking up a copy of Zelda, and I got rear-ended at a stoplight. There was very little damage, and only slight discomfort in my neck, but otherwise it's no big deal. Dang you, Zelda!

The Newest Zelda

Wow, the Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass has really crept up on me. I am really excited about it, but I had no idea that it was coming out the 1st of October. That's next week! I really need to keep up with this stuff.

Wii Noise

So...has anyone had trouble with their Wii making a weird humming noise? I noticed it after a few days of playing MP3. When I insert the disc, there is a constant humming noise that cycles from a higher frequency to a lower one. I've tried altering the position of the Wii (horizontally and vertically), but that doesn't seem to matter. Oddly enough, a Gamecube disc doesn't make the noise. I'm going to try other Wii discs and see what happens. I hope I don't have to send it in to get fixed!
