then after u beat ur rpg then what? it sits there? once u beat halo or cod or pretty much any AAA shooter, you have multiplayer where millions sink many hours into not to mention other game modes like horde modes, and spartan (spec) ops stuff. plus having a corridor shooter's campaign last longer than 10 hours things become very repeatative.
If microsoft and sony stay away from "innovating" the way we play games I think they will survive just fine, Though I have a feeling they will end up being mini home entertainment computers with an interface similar to the android tab OS, and making use of the cloud to store information. and disc copies of games will go by the way side (ofcourse i could be wrong). Nintendo I feel is in trouble, They are the longest running console developer in the race, but Nintendo has a track record of releasing great hardware then a lot of crap peripherals. But Nintendos strongest asset is their first party games, thats what gamers want, and forcing the gamers to buy multiple different hardware devices to get the these games will eventually wear on the populace. And these crazy new gadgets to play games are nice gimmicks but nintendo had it right from the start... you cant beat the gamepad.
PC gaming is really were its at for the best technical and visual experience to be had with a game. Consoles are good and i still play my 360 from time to time, but since i built my recent rig with some nice components I am leaning heavily to the PC gaming. Now im not saying consoles are not as fun, they have their place and they make up the majority of the game market and they are needed, Im just glad that some developers are taking the time to build better versions of their game for a more powerful system.
Maybe the ESRB or the ESA should do a PSA commercial or something to educate dumb parents who buy these games for their kids, and then complain about how violent they are.
I enjoyed the game's atmosphere and was sad when it ended all too soon for me. Though i was dissappointed that the ai was not much of a challenge, and beating the game on supersoldier first time through in under 7 hours shows that the ai more could be desired from, they didnt feel like intellegent enemies, but ratherpredictable scripted ducks that shot back. visually it impressed the hell out of me and is one of the reasons why i fell for the world so hard (PC)
