@Zoeper Then get a PS4 and be shocked when it requires the same thing or something worse (like registering your game for a single console use), both companies are going to be using some extreme measures to make these consoles extremely difficult to play pirated software on. I'm more curious than anything about how far they go.
@bloody-hell Well said sir, and I wasn't dismissing your point either. However I'm just looking at the business side; that's what it really boils down to. You have to keep the customer happy. I can't say for sure but I would place a bet that they are expecting more copies of this game to be sold on consoles. So thinking in $$ terms it would be in the publishers best interest to make the best possible console version and focus on the second market... well second.
@mstrchf12 ; Nice, I agree. If they just wanted to make the game as detailed and use all the current graphics power available it would have been PC exclusive. However, in the interest of not losing money it was decided to make the game run on consoles that are past their prime; sounds like good business sense. All I see this as is another indicator that the next gen wave of consoles is ready.
Well I just went and found the original commercial, and nowhere in the ad is the character portrayed as a Sony VP, it looks like he is a bridgestone employee. Just because he is the same actor as the one Sony uses it should not be justification to keep him from finding work. It seems to me like if this goes through he would have real justification to sue Sony because it would seriously hurt him finding work in the future.
