Guild Wars 2

I can't express my complete and utter excitement for Guild Wars 2. I've played Guild Wars 1 and all of it's expansions for about 7 years now, or however long it's been since it's release. It always kept me coming back and I'm sure that Guild Wars 2 will do the same.

Main reason of course is the no online fees, it lets me play how I want to without feeling forced to play because I just paid 15 euros to play for one month.

I really think it'll be a revolutionary game when it comes to MMORPG's as at the moment they mainly are based around the everquest/WoW model.

I know I will like it from all the prelimanary things I've seen from footage and FAQ's.

Bring on more goodness! Pretty much the only MMORPG I've ever been excited to get!

Madden 11

So who else is excited for this game?

I've been playing madden since madden 08 and I've loved it everytime again, mostly due to the facts that it's great to watch the games and then be able play them as well, using all my favourite players.

I'm mostly in love with the become a superstar game mode, playing only one position in the entire team, having to play your best but still not having control on how the game went, it made it exciting and felt like you had to play your best, if it was either as a running back having to get the first down, my right end, getting the sack on third down or my free safety catching an important interception in my end zone.

Hopefully madden 11 will be even more exciting and suspensful then the last ones. They managed to really make it a challenge to play a team which adjusts to your play style, such as my quaterback I have playing for the Cardinals (Fitzgerald and Boldin, great choice), my rookie season I throw to fitzgerald for over 100 recieving yards a game, yet after a few games I found fitzgerald to be under double coverage a lot, these little things is what makes it such a great game

I'll be looking forward to playing as the Saints and the Vikings in madden 11!

Call of duty Modern Warfare 1... AGAIN!?

Yeah I decided to play modern warfare 1 again online, still loving it, started a few days ago and have now reached rank 20, luckily with a positive kill:death ratio!

My main reason was because I'm still bummed I can't play modern warfare 2 online on my xbox due to some problems with connections so went to the second best option of MW on PC :P

The community is still large, and the servers I used to play on back when MW had just been released are still up and running which I found fantastic, usually I tend to stay with hardcore gameplay, as I hate spraying a whole clip at an enemy in normal mode and them still getting away, I found hardcore more fitting to my gaming style

Poor Poor Computer...

Now recently my PC died on me, it said it had a harddrive malfunction after much thinking I decided against a recovery as I can simply re-install all of my old products again. So Im now trying to repair my PC with the vista install CD

I have been without for quite a while and have been missing my MMORPG's! So hopefully I'll be able to play sometime this week again otherwise I'll bring it to the computer store and see if they have anything they can do for me :D

So many wasted opportunities of nights without gaming, but I replaced them with my xbox 360 :P

Fingers crossed!

Tony Hawks Breakthrough?

I just saw a interview about the new Tony Hawks: ride game, which for steering has a actual skateboard design that you stand on with different sensors, so the idea seems pretty cool taking skating games to a realistic level. But I still dont completely trust it, how do you do a kickflip even on the board? as to do a ollie you simply press the tail back and bring the nose upwards to ollie, but what movement would you have to do, to do flip tricks? Grabs are done by placing your hands over a sensor after doing a ollie. Something which I thought was clever was to move forwards you slide your foot past the sensor on the side and your avatar will push forwards. So I think it has a big possibility to become a good product, but I need to learn more about it before I am convinced its worth deciding to buy it or not, especially since for me it has a huge rivalry with the skate games which in my opinion were so much better then the tony hawks games due to the realistic aspect

Anno 1404

I recently bought anno 1404 AKA Dawn of Discovery

the game is pretty cool in the sense that you can't completely control the characters on the screen, you have to try and build certain structures to help the villagers, and if certain needs are taken care of then your area will gain a "rank" such as village.

I only just started playing so the amazing graphics and campaign may not hold me as long as I may find, but you are constantly expanding your empire as you need to get materials which aren't present on the starting island (mostly spices etc.) so you quickly find yourself creating trade routes to keep the villagers happy with more resources.

For myself it's fun because I enjoy the concept of creating a civilization from scratch and then slowly expanding it to a grand empire for yourself, remembering when it started witha few houses to several islands filled with buildings and working structures.

I encourage poeple to at least give it a try, because I thought I would enjoy it only for a while but the game keeps you entertained as you struggle to keep your resources at a good amount and to keep your villagers happy.

The Game Concert, Amsterdam

So on the 23rd of July I went to go see the most awesome concert of my life

It was of course The Game, he spent 3 hours rapping and keeping us all entertained and of course it was here in holland so you know they were all smoking blunts on stage, sickest show ever, he could keep us entertained by keeping our dubs up and shouting bounce!

I was just dissapointed cause I was so close to getting on stage but just missed out and then my friend caught one of The Game's towels, but it would have been sick to catch his new era cap or the red, white blue jacket he had on.

I spent much of that concert with hand's up just bouncing to the beat, throwing up west side or my B for Bloodz. Also due to The Game being very inspired by MJ, we were lucky enough to get to here some of those tracks and his very own tribute song for MJ called "Better On The Other Side"

Respect for that,

Peace

COD4 still... the best

I still play Call of duty 4 a lot on the PC and I can't get over just how amazing it is, the weapons are awesome so much fun to play with, unlike where I was a bit dissapointed with the weapons in world at war.

I recently started a new account on COD4 so I could start again from rank 1 in multiplayer. Because I got bored of being rank 55, its always fun to play and rank up. I pop on the rank 55 to get on my 50 cal barreta though :P and to finish off some off the challenges

But all in all its still one of the best singleplayer and multiplayer first person shooters on the PC
