@carlusofwar u know, i dont like fully turn based that much (some are ok though), but some RPG real time are pretty good (demon souls and dark souls GEMS!!! ) .... btw like above said, last story is a mix of turn based elements with real time. but is ok, if rog no your thing, is not your thing. i cant stand fighting and multiplayer deathmatch... :p
thanks for your view :)
you seem very cool to talk to, so i like to talk more with you.
so i will explain further.
I love games, but i only play games that i think are playable. and AFTER that comes the fact if i like them or not.
meaning, if the controls or game play or layout (graphic, story) are worth my time i will play that / those games.
my biggest problem is how the control is laid out. (what buttons to press for what things )i am NOT sure if the term is gameplay. i had a big har time with the OLD prince of persia games because you have to press one button to get the sword out and then another to use it.
I may like games such as singularity, wolfenstien (ps3 version), homefront, rage, RE5, but i am NOT a multiplayer person either. there for i do NOT play cod, halo, i think multiplayer is soooo overrated and "repeat of the same thing". i cant stand all the **** and crap around it. peep only buying games to play them online. i would never ever pay 600 - 700 kronor for a game to just play online. Online players are rude and ignores the fact that it takes time to adjust. everyone "dies", you need to get people change to survive the game and just not kick them out. or end the game because your sick and tired of their part. even if it is NOT their fault for dying. *explain som other time
What i have a hard time with is the "turn base". as i said i still have nightmares from WIld Arms or what ever the game is call. i tend to forget its name but not how it was to play it. I get chills thinking about it.
Ive not gotten to demon souls and dark souls as they are out of my budget. some day i might try them if gotten the chance, for now it seems like they are just what i dont like, but i dont know that until playing it.
Like Dragons Dogma., if demon souls and dark souls is anything like that in controls and layout, then demon souls and dark souls is not for me. or if demon souls and dark souls is more simlair to Dragon Age, then it is not for me either.
All these games, if they are more like ( in control, gameplay and layout) any of the following games: Lord of Shadows, GOW, Dantes Inferno, DMC, Darksiders, Enslaved, the forgotten sands, , then that is fine. then they are games for me.
I did try this Kingdom of Alumur; or what ever it is called. the control is good. (more like the games i am able to play) but it has RPG moments as you have big menu where to change clothes, weapons etc... if RPG was more like that: i would be able to play.
I like games like Just Cause, GTA, and games like that aswell. (in game play, controls and layout) but when you dont have a or lose your vechical and you have to run, and walk and run and walk... the games are so frustrating. i hate to walk around.. i just finished play THE DARKNESS.. and its a fine shooter/action.. but you can NOT run. at least i did not find away to run. maybe i missed something and boy walking miles to get where i was going... makes me wanna turn of the game(s).
I am willing to try Demon and Dark souls.., but if they are anything like Dragons Dogma or Dragon Age, then i can say right now, it is not for me. but still willing to give them a chance., qtion: doesnt Deomn and Dark have point system that runs above your head as you beat foes ? or have i misstaken that for another game that was out at the same time?
I played Neir. it started out as a lesser version of Devil May Cry, but after the first level (snow and shadow monsters)but then its spring time and it turns into what I call RPG. to many lines to read and runing around cant find crap, have to talk to people to find things. This was fine in the time of Simons Quest for NES. but these days.. no thank you.
Even Legacy of Kain was a RPG with action i guess fpr PS One. as it has "above veiw" but i love that game. what made me play it was the story and the first "cutscene". and the rest is history as i love each part in the series just as much. its was sad when it ended. i dont care muych for graphics so even if they mess up with it like they did Legacy of Kain ; blood omen 2.. i still played it because i love Kain and his world.
The other month i got a demo of Ninja Gaiden 3; not sure what version zigma or not. but i liked it and will get it when it find one with good price, same goes for the previous in the series..
As for fighting, i like wrestling games. once upon a time, i did enjoy tekken 3, St. Fighter II, but got tired of those, they are to easy... as it is the same thing over and over and over... i am an old "beat em up" fan, but those games are gone now. I remember, Final Fight, Street of Rage, and even Maximum Carnage (the best Spidey game for genesis) was my gems at that point in time.
to be continued......
Someone who reads this, could you please explain "real time" for me. not sure i got the terms of that one. so do ugot games as examples ??
