For what it's worth, here at GameSpot, we always pay our own way with regard to travel and lodging for offsite events.

As others have said, I'm pretty sure you're talking about StarFlight or StarFlight II. (Star Control II also sounds like a possibility.) You can buy StarFlight and StarFlight II as a set, totally legally, from gog.com. Just $5.99 for the pair of games. (They also have Star Control I and II, and if you liked StarFlight, I really think you might like Star Control II as well.)

Agreed. You get the purest, richest flavor from coffee when brewing it in a French press. Plus, it's fun to use! I love pushing the plunger down when time is up!

I'm a cream and sugar person myself, plenty of both. If I'm at a coffee shop, I'll often get a mocha, though many places (like Starbucks) tend to make theirs too sweet for my tastes--I want it to taste like an espresso drink with a hint of chocolate, not a chocolate drink with a hint of espresso--so I tell them to go easy on the chocolate.
