Why, are you really that desperate to play, but if you are have fun waiting until 1 in the morning! So yeah, 24 hours sounds like a long enough time to apply the update data to the servers and reboot them, 1 by 1...... power downs take ALOT of time and preperation....

Some of you guys must be blind..... or don't check your messages very often, about 1 week ago they sent a message out saying xbox live was going to be down on september 29th for 24 hours to prepare for the fall dashboard update, and as to why it fails at MTU and not xbox live, I have no idea, hey at least it will be up for Rosh Hashanah!

[QUOTE="catnip201"]Calm down, it's not your routers, it's xbox live, they planned downtime on september 29th for 24 hours for the new dashboard update, it just happens to fail at MTU, not at xbox live. (happened to me too), (sorry I could have posted this sooner but I refreshed and copy/paste doesn't work on these forums.)Aaron89

You'd think everyone would naturally connect the two events together ... but nooo.

I agree all the way, but even though I knew it was down, I was a little confused of it failing at MTU, and the fact that my computer and my xbox 360 are having IP address problems ever since my power went out..... and I'm too lazy to fix it...

And, the dashboard is coming out later this fall, this update is just to prepare for it. (Strange how it fails at MTU isn't it?)

And I was looking forward to GRAW....

Well there's always tomor........ oh wait, tomorrow's Rosh Hashanah......
