OMG, the 360 is not more powerfull then a highend PC, but it is more powerfull then what KOol says. It has a tri core CPU that is compleatly different archecturally, and is built for gaming only. Most PC CPUs arent as good for gaming because they are built to handle many more things. Also, it has a early version of a ATI 2900, but it is NOT DX10 capable. It also has 512mb GDDR3 vram, and 512mb DDR2 system memory. It would technecly play a DX9 port of Cysis at a medium/high quality mix. A year ago, the 360 was capable of doing better graphics then high end PCs, but now none of the consoles can beat a 1k+$ rig.
scott: the gtx was 500$ but they compare this card to the gts, which was 400$ at release. The Nvidias seem pretty well engineerd to me considering how much smaller it is, and less power it uses. Plus ATI has more compatability issues running certain games that Nvidia doesn't. Thats why the performance dropped on some of the test.
As far as I know, from what has been anounced, PS3 hardware does not support force feedback or rumble. Not just the controller, but the system as well. I may be wrong but that is what I have read. If that is true that they will implement it, then only new batches of systems would support it right? Meaning anyone who has a PS3 now wouldn't have it. Even if it does support rumble, its not force feedback which makes a world of difference. Read this article on it to see why. http://forzamotorsport.net/news/announcements/feedback.htm
As I read some of these post I can easily see many of you who think you know what you are talking about when you don't. For one, gamespot is not the first to do an article like this. What does that say? It says that there really are problems that need to be addressed with the PS3, and you Sony fanboys just don't want to realize it. A lot of you keep saying what is so special about the 360, or what did it have at launch. Well, Live is, without a doubt the best online service created. There is just so many features it would take me an hour to type it all. You can't say its nothing special when you haven't even experienced it yet, which I know most of you Sony fanboys haven't which is a shame to let something so great pass you by because you are the ones that are biased. As for the launch at least the 360 had more than 1 good game. And Call of Duty 2 is much better than Resistance anyway, and PGR3 is much better than any PS 3 racing game yet. And I doubt there will be a good racing game because the PS3 doesn't have force feed back or even any rumble of any kind! That is a BIG problem when it comes to racing games even ones like GT5. So, until Sony makes some much needed improvements, I will be happy playing my 360, and spending my money to upgrade my PC for Crysis.
MrPretzel, E3 is not like it was before, in case you haven't heard. It will now just be a meeting so to speek of devolopers in a couple of hotels. Nothing major to the public so don't expect much. and Lithus, If you can only take turns in forza at 30mph then you either can't race or tune, or mabey both. That is what is great about forza, it shows the difference of skilled racers and tuners and those who aren't. Back on subject, Fable 2 is my most antisapted game if it will come out in 07.
