That's a though one. I have both and I enjoyed both. RFOM is more up to speed and has better graphics. Don't forget HL2 is a 4 to 5 year old game. But HL2 is a classic and you get HL2 ep1&2 also which make it a good deal and will take more time to finish. But HL2 also became boring because you do the same thing over and over again (shooting zombies became very annoying). Also the loadingtimes are frustrating at HL2. The stories about framerate droppings in HL2 are highly exaggerated. It looks fine and playes fine. Team Fortress is not my thing, I prefer RFOM multiplayer. So if I had to choose I'd pick RFOM, a good solid and good looking game with a great multiplayer.

It works fine. Some games it doesn't work on. I tested it on Burnout Paradise, Warhawk and Folklore and it works, but I also tested it on Orange Box and there it does NOT work.

I also have the dual shock 3 and I live in Europe. I got it from a Dutch gamesite, but they probably imported it from Japan.

I think the only way is to install Linux (Yellowdog or Ubuntu) and use Open Office that comes with it.

It's a great game, especially the fact that it takes 100 hours+ to finish. That's something else (think HS, AC). But the storyline is lame. I played Baldurs Gate II a few years ago and THAT is a truely genius RPG. Oblivion doesn't come even close to that. That's what I miss the most these days. Good RPG's with amazing storylines.

About 10 hours (others do it probably quicker), but I thought it to be much fun. But there are expansionpacks on the PSN (About 4 or 5 now already) making the experience last longer. Only they have to be paid for separately (about 3 euro's per pack).

It's a Unix variant. There are multiple distributions. I myself use Ubuntu Linux. It works great. Much safer than MS Windows. No virusses, system freezings, etc. Best thing about it : It's free! You get a system that is imo much better than Windows. The updates for it are also much faster developed by the massive open source community. You get a lot of free software standard installed (Open Office, Firefox, several mediaplayers, chatting programs that can also run MSN, the Gimp (Photoshop kind of program). It's supported by great companies like IBM (they are totally into Eclipse).

But it also has a few flaws, most important : Games. There are not many games on Linux available. You can run several Windows games on Linux but it does not work 'out of the box'. But who cares, I play my games on my PS3. Also the support of Wifi-cards isn't that great. Most of them work, but if you're unlucky you're in for a very technical adventure.

A tip : Most distro's like Ubuntu can be installed next to Windows (you get a dual boot), so you can check it out without losing your Windows installation. By the way, I haven't tried Linux (Yellowdog) on my PS3, I have no need for that.

See www.linux.org or www.ubuntu.org for more info.

My PS3 is connected to an older type LCD TV with a DVI-port via a HDMI-to-DVI cable. It works great (no full HD on this TV, but 720p works fine). I've connected the sound to a stereoset with the normal tulip-cables (it's how we call them in the Netherlands). But for the sound to work I had to set up the routing of the sound to those tulip-cables via XMB, but that's a normal function within the PS3. DVI is basically HDMI without the sound.

Although it's a great deal, it's also a 3 year old game. I played Half-life years ago on the PC and I liked it. It's a classic but I don't see myself playing it on the PS3. I'd rather play new games that are made for the PS3 (Warhawk, Folklore). I'm saving my money for Assasin's creed.
