The Gears of War tournament concluded on Friday, and I'm happy to see GL clean sweep win. Yes, they whooped my team in the semi-finals, but I'm happy they won after coming in 2nd in the first Gears tournament. I have to say that I was the luckiest person at the tournament though. I went to register for the tournament, and found the timeslot that I was looking for and joined up. Well, it just so happens that Korubi and ShenLongBo had a spot open, so I joined their team. They were waiting for a 3rd person already, so I went and joined a team with no one on it. Apparently I chose the right slot because the 2 guys that joined were pretty darn good (they were in a Gears clan). All I had to do was kill the Admin player that was on our team, and by the time I caught up with them, they had already killed everyone. It didn't really help my kill count, but I can't really complain. I did however get my chances to chainsaw some people's necks :D Anyway, we made it to the semi-finals, and lost to the team that won the tournament, so I have to say that's pretty sweet for not playing Gears online that much at all. It sucks we didn't make it to the finals, because we could have gotten money, but o well. It was definitely a fun experience, and Jody did a great job putting together the tournament. It's kinda weird not having Kevin doing it, but he's moved on up in the world! Well, that's all for now. Football season has started, and it's Monday night. Need I say more?
