I figure someone that is a photographer of some kind has to stumble upon this topic, so I have a budget of about $500-$800. I just need some pointers on what to look for. Orrecommendations on specific ones.

I couldn't find a good topic location for this so I figure I'd throw it here. Basically I've recently really gotten into reading, and as such I figure I might as well look for some new books to read. I'm a huge fan of dan brown and the historical fiction esc. he does. However I've been looking for a book that involves more science themes to it, but not fantasy. If anyone could make some suggestions it would be greatly appareciated.

Basically I'm looking for a netbook for school. Preferably able to play music, movies, and a little photo editing. So I'm just wondering if maybe I should step up to cheap laptops, or what I should be looking for in a netbook.

I plugged in a keyboard to see if that would also turn on and it did. My assumtion would be that its either the cpu or the ram. Are there any tests I can do to check? My old mobo isnt exactly prepared to test either of the two things I have in those slots. So any tips or something?

Note also that I've been using a dongle in order to get vga on the duel dvi ports. Could using that be a problem?
