technical help for sony comprised of waiting on the phone for an hour, and a person who has no idea what they are doing, all they do is read off of a troubleshooting sheet which doesn't help at all

I am not using hdmi i am using component cables u know the red green and blue ones

I finally got sunshine to play after about 5 hours of messing with the ps3 (aka changing settings, switching tvs, switching disks multiple times)

now that sunshine is done i took it out and put black hawk down in and nothing is being read

Does it take a considerably long time for the ps3 to read the movie blu ray disks?

my ps3 is set for us region and the disks were bought from best buy and have the a (us region) tag on them

when i insert a disk nothing happens, nothing loads, nada

So i got my ps3 and everything works fine with the exception it wont play blu ray movies!!!

i dont get it it reads games but not blu ray movies im confused...

can anyone address this problem?

Ah i just joined the ps3 lineup too ANd its the best system out, the arcade games are awesome and the main games are great

i got ninja gaiden (amazing best action game ive played in a while)

warhawk (hard as hell but super fun!)

motorstorm (wow just an amazing beat around game, never had that much fun with racing games before)

I recently picked up a ps3 and I love it. By far my favorite console of the three and year 08 is shaping up to be really really nice for us ps3 owners.

I recently bought warhawk and i am kind of enjoying it but getting my ass kicked online. Any tips for flying the plane or just the game in general? Also looking for friends to play online with my psn id is champloobob
