I love how Phase 1 is release the console and games. Then phase two, a few months later, is to release more games. And then finally, the third phase, is to release even more games.
My biggest takeaway and question from this article is, is this why games cost so much money? Studios are paying people to work on projects that never get monetized because they get canceled?! Is the overhead so low and profit margins so large on released games they can afford to cancel worked-on games?
Why would the basketball team do a DRIVING game and not the soccer game, and just let Sumo Digital do the racing game? They have history with that Sonic game, which was pretty fun.
