When you describe someone of your own race, no one ever says "well they are white, with brown hair" but yet whenever white people describe someone who is black, the first thing they say is that they are black. That offends me. I never use a person's color as a descriptive term.
when im in an area where it is almost all white people, i do not describe someone as white. consider it a default setting. but when at least a third of the people are other skin colors, i do describe my own kind as white. its just a reference.
