SIR! I Think You've Had Enough!

Alright, so I've definately had enough me time, now I gotta get back to work...

To sum it up life over this past week was freakin amazing, but now I need to slow down and get back to work; I have four pages to get done and I have to start the chapter work. This basicly entails me saying "**** you" instead of "**** yeah" whenever someone calls me up and says "let's rock". Saddening, yet necessary...

Luckily my time on another campus over this previous weekend (now I'm set on it being my future school of choice) helped me to realize what really needs to be done with the graphic novel. In essence the novel has always been about the plot, and thus far it's an incredible plot according to popular opinion, but a couple of my good friends and one of the brightest minds I have, or maybe anoyone, will ever meet, helped me realize that I was putting too much time into trying to make it absolutely real or logical; when it is great on it's own in theory. What do I mean by this? Well I've been spending a pretty ridiculous amount of time developing my gov't, the virus, and other odds and ends trying to make it feel obseenly real, like it could actually happen. Yet, it wasn't necessary and in retrospect it was still pretty far out there and trying to put those details into the book would have probably driven readers away. No, instead the view should be much like the favored manga's that I read, video games that I adore, or the Matrix. They focused on the plot, and when it came down to things like government, or other concepts it was just implied that they work...PERIOD. Now I'll still try to keep things on a sensical, realistic sid, so you still won't be seeing any dragon ball Z kameha-cockas or whatever, but what this pretty much means is that...well actually it doesn't mean much at all :P It just means, all I have to do is the story and I don't have to create an unwordly document discribing what the gov't is and how it works, or other odds and ends. In the end it's better if the point is given that It-Just-Works...
