guys, its time for all of us to fess up to the fact that halo 3 won't be the best game graphicly. It will still have great game play, but this isn't even going to come close to gears because they want to have very large multiplayer games. The 360 isn't capable of producing top notch graphics along with 30+ people in a multiplayer online game. It sucks for all of us but this may be as close to what we're going to get graphicly speaking in the final product.
