No action on the news wire eh? lol Anyways, when I worked at a local lake, the computer at the front office was a crappy Compaq with no internet connection and I became addicted to Solitaire, then Freecell, and finally we had a heated Pinball tourney to see who could get the highest score... Wow..is that sad... :( I will have to take a crack at that Mahjong game as I'm a self professed geek at any Mahjong game. Inkball looks terrible. These games will be removed ASAP upon installation of Vista. On another note, Vista SO SHINY!! WOW!!! IT GLITTERS LIKE CANDY CANES!!!.... Msoft, you're telling me I need to upgrade my system according to your Upgrade Advisor just to play these pretty games on your shiny GUI?...

Love this series of Feature. This is definitely something that our minds analyze everytime we play games, even if it's subconsiously. Like the article mentions about animations, I also find that it is what makes or breaks a game's immersion. If there are enough animations and they are very fluent, you have got yourself a very immersive game and aren't questioning much, instead watching and just consuming it all. It builds up the game the way it should be without any frustrations. What I also find very interesting is how important these factors will be in game reviews when we hit next-gen PC titles such as Crysis. (Have you seen those human head renders?!) Looking foward to more from this series.

GameSpot, great stuff with this new feature. Possibly compress it on a lower birtrate and frequency next time, as it is only a voice interview. The file is pretty large for an interview. Can't wait for more!! Love listening to what the creators of these fabulous games we love, have to say. When Ron discusses how gaming will soon be fixated on just the hardcore, I tend to disagree. Just take a look at what Nintendo's doing with the Wiimote. They are definitely taking the challenge of making for a more intuitive and interactive control scheme instead. of L1,2,3, 2 analogs, abxy etc etc.
