Gears of war II

So, i got GoW II tw days ago but i haven't gotten to play much between the studying for finals and homework (and Mass Effect) but what i have played has been great, the graphics are amazing, and the action is a little too bloody but really cool. I would recommend this game to anyone who would like a break from the traditional FPS games and experience some innovative game play. Now that i've talked to you, i would like you to talk to me, what kind of games could i play? (FPS and i don't have xbox live)

Assassin's Creed, mass effect, oblivion HELP ME!

AC:Ok so i got AC and im on the 7 and 8 guys but im really annoyed that i have to walk really slowly around town or the f*&#ing guards attack me, any tips for getting around?

Mass Effect:I love mass effect, im hooked but i don't like the vehicle parts, the only question i have is how long it is? i want it to last a while.

Oblivion:Ive only gotten past the dungeon part in it, i really want to know what to do and im lost, any help?
