i had this EXACT sam problem like 3 days ago. i sorted it out today(im so happy!), by changing the channel of my router. it was interfering with other peoples wireless signals in my area. go in your routers admin program and change your channel. i had no need to open any more ports, since they are already open. the signals only need to stop interfering with each other. since i did this, no lost connections or slowdown whatsoever.

hope it helps:)

hi every1,

psn keeps sgning me out. wen i play cod4 it says conection interupted, then psn signs me out. HOWEVER, then wen i go to xmb and internet browser, the broser works perfectly. this must mean there is a problem with psn with my ps3. do you know why? do i have to port forward specific psn servers or sumthing like that?

please help.

from a gamer in need :(

forget port forwarding then. actually, my wireless is unsecured. could this possibly be the reason?

This worked for me. Updated router firmware, and removed WEP 128-bit hex encription to a lesser encripted WPA2 secutiry. Problem solved.

PS: The closer the router to your PS3 the better. 45% signal may be fine surfing the web, but playing online requires your signal to carry a lot of data back and forth. Weak signal is always bad.
